After The I Do's (Complete)

Four days ago, Kaz indirectly called me a whore. And here I was, still carrying on with the plans I've been making for his birthday, which is in two days. I know he was feeling insecure because of the little changes I made, I was coming home late, I had secret calls because of his birthday plans—Tee always calls at the wrong time— and he thinks I'm cheating on him with Mark whose girlfriend's birthday was yesterday.

He proposed by the way and she said yes.

Maybe with my past, all these reasons are enough to call me a whore but I promised him, I told him that he is the only one.

Maybe he needs a little more convincing

I've been sleeping in my room since that night, and I moved some of my clothes back to my room. He's been trying to talk to me but I don't think I can talk to him. I don't want to see him. I've been going out of my way to avoid him.

I walk into my office, ignoring Tee as I passed her. She has been asking me what was wrong but I did not tell her. She even told the guys to talk to me and they got the same reply. I slump into my chair, not ready at all to start my day. My door opens and Tee walks in

"So what's up?" She asked

"Just tired. Kaz's birthday is in two days and I'm trying to make sure everything is in place" I replied

"Okay. We don't have a lot to do though so you can rest a little. But you have a zoom meeting with the boss by twelve"

"What does that man want again?" I groaned and Tee laughs

"Aunty it's his company. He wants to know what is happening in it. And know how much money he's making"

"Jesus. The money is paid into his account and he's the one that has assess to it. He knows how much he's making" I replied, placing my legs on my table and crossing it

"You this girl, you have learned bad thing. It's now for you to be raising leg every day on top table abi?" She asks and I laugh

"Well, my office is comfortable. What can I say?" I replied

"Rubbish girl. But are you sure you're okay?" She asks

I consider telling her the truth, but then, I've always come to them with my problems. It's time to be a big girl and solve my problem myself

"I'm okay babe. I'm just so stressed. You know throughout this month we've been having a lot of clients, and not to mention that we're also having a lot of cake orders. Then add Kaz's birthday to the list" I replied rubbing my forehead

"I swear. We need a vacation. Talk to Mr Damian na so that he can give us a vacation" she sighed

"And give my job to Mr Brown? Not happening" I replied and Tee burst out laughing

"I swear. Mr Brown will be so happy ehhhh" she shakes her head and turns to leave "let me go to my office abeg. You better use this small time and sleep small"

"Yes ma" I replied and she leaves. I place my head on my desk and sigh

Time to work

It was finally Kaz's birthday. I ignored him as usual and left the house. I got to the office, making sure everything was in order so that I won't be called back. After that, Tee and I headed home when we were sure Kaz has gone to his office. We began putting everything in place. Doyin even came to help but God I wish she didn't come.

She was just sitting down, giving orders and eating everything while I've been glaring at her

"See your eyes will soon fall off if you keep looking at me like that" Doyin leaned more into the couch and lifted her legs to place on the table
