chapter 23

It was about to be 10:00 at night.The guys went over to James house to do who knows what.

I was downstairs in the kitchen having a snack and being on my phone.

Then Luke walks in.

“Hey”I mumble trying to smile.”Hey”He sais back.”where are the guys?”He asks.
“Oh they went to James house.I have no idea what they’re doing and I decided not to go”I say with a laugh.

“Oh”he sais walking to the fridge.

“Why are we being weird?”I question.”What?”He sais with a chuckle.

“I don’t know.Its like we’re strangers now”I say.
“That was kinda your decision”he sais.

He was right.It was my fault.

“I know.Im sorry.”I say rolling my eyes making him giggle.

“but you're not yourself anymore.”I tell him.”What do you mean?I am Luke?Where else would Jai get his charm everyday if I wasn’t me?”He jokes.

We both laugh.He then walks upstairs leaving me downstairs.

My phone lit up on the counter getting my attention.I grabbed it and looked at it.I was getting a call but it didn't have a caller ID.

Thats weird?

I clicked answer.

“Hello?”

“Jessi?”I hear a squeaky voice say through the phone.”Alex?”I ask.”yea Jessi somethings wrong”He tells me sniffing.”What?what's wrong?Alex are you okay?Wheres Tony and Karie?”I panicked being worried.

“Jessi sam is in the hospital”He sais with a sniff leaving me breathless.

“What?Hospital!?Alex what happened to him”I scream starting to worry more and my voice echoing around the house.

“Who are you talking to?”I hear a girls voice say.It sounded like Nancy but that was least of my worries right now.

“Hello?!Alex?”I say but no one answered.I look at the screen and barely notice they had hung up.

I put my phone down trying to think about what just happened.

I quickly stood up grabbing my phone rushing out of the house.

I got into my car.I immediately started to drive to the hospital.I was so worried.

I arrived and got out of my car rushing inside.I speed walked to desk area.

“Sam hill”I tell the lady behind the desk.She looked at her clipboard.”Are you a family member?”She asks with no expression on her face.

“Yes Im his sister”I answer quickly.

”The waiting room is down there”She said pointing to her left down the hall.”The rest of your family members are there”She explains.

I rushed down and turned the corner.

David and Karie were there sitting on the couch.Karie had her head leaning against his shoulder and It looked like she was crying.Nancy was also sitting looking at her phone.Of Course.But she had red eyes.She was also crying but just didn’t want to show it.Beside her was Alex sleeping laying down.Tony was sitting on David's lap also sleeping.

I take a step and they all look up.

“Jessi?What are you doing here?”Karie sais walking up to me with a sniff.I guess she didn’t know that Alex called me.

“What happened?”I ignored her question.She sighs.”It’s Sam.We don’t know what happened”She sais sounding like she was about to cry.”They found him at the park.He was bleeding from his arm.His wrist.He lost a lot of blood.Apparently the doctor said that someone had done it.And they’re trying to investigate but they don't know who it is yet”Karie sais now crying.
