Only a few minutes ago Mel had been driven away in an ambulance and Mick in a police car. We were all still around the beach front not really knowing what to do. Madge was completely hysterical. She was shouting and crying uncontrollably.
"Oh my god that poor woman" I spoke to Mateo.
"Yes, I'd hate to have to look after that crazy lady" Mateo replied thinking I was talking about Janice.
"Not her you pillock! The bride who's just lost her groom twice!" I hissed through my teeth. He looked like he was about to say something else when something caught his eye. He nudged me and nodded to the direction of Janice and Madge. That bloody man was back again. I huffed and went over. I was beginning to get annoyed at his persistence.
"I didn't mean to interrupt your wedding. Congratulations by the way" was what I heard him say from where I was standing.
"Congratulations? Are you taking the piss?". Madge tried to sound angry but it just came out as sobs.
"Janice I've said I'm sorry".
"Will you just leave us alone?" Janice ordered. He turned around and came face to face with me. He began to back up, his slightly fearful eyes didn't leave mine. I took a threatening step forward which made him jog on. Janice tugged both mine and Mateos arms to get our attention.
"Excuse me loves we need a taxi" her eyes looked begging. Mateo gave turned into sympathy which surprised me a bit.
"Of course, follow me" he said softly. We took a few steps before we were stopped by Janice.
"Oh just a minute". Mateo looked annoyed at the fact we had to stop. I knew his sympathy wouldn't last long. Janice started arranging for someone take her kids back to the Solana. Donald and Jaqueline were keen to step up. Janice took them up on their offer but Madge was displeased.
"Oh yes that's it send the kids off with Fred west and his wife that's the last you'll see of them" she rudely remarked. The couple didn't seem fazed in the slightest
"Mother will you calm down! Come on" Janice grabbed her mother by the wrist and started dragging her along behind me and Mateo.

We pushed our way through the crowds until we met the road on the other side. There were plenty of taxis but many were taken. It took us a while to find a available one but when we did Mateo stick his hand in the air and whistled to get his attention. However as we were making our way over martin arrived ushering his wife into the vehicle.
"Oh god" I muttered frustrated knowing it would be hard to find another taxi. I jogged over to try and stop them from getting in.
"Excuse me sorry we really need this taxi" I pleaded pointing to Madge.
"I think not" he said simply completely ignoring me. He was so polite the other day.
"Come on shift yourselves out of there we've got to get to the hospital" Madge argued.
"I'm sorry this is our taxi you'll have to find another one". He had a serious lack of empathy. Thankfully his wife didn't.
"Martin let them have it. I said I can walk back to the apartments".
Janice pre thanked her for her kindness and relief walked over us until Martin said "absolutely not. You're not walking anywhere. Besides we're not going to the apartments".
"My husbands dying!" Madge shrieked as one final attempt to get the taxi.
"My wife is pregnant!" Martin shouted back. With that he climbed into the taxi and it drove off. I was about to flip them off from behind but Mateo grabbed my wrist to stop me. I sighed. Madge and Janice glared at Mateo.
"Don't look at me".
