Falling for a Surfer

The accident

     A few days have past. We were all still having fun at the beach and entertainment places. Just like any normal day we were on the beach relaxing. Lilly was in the water playing with her boyfriend. Kiley was napping while tanning and me I was reading a book. Fifteen minutes later, Kiley woke up.
She said," Oh the sweet smell of paradise."
She grabbed a fruit drink in the ice chest. She looked up and saw guys running across the beach.
I said," Looking at men again?"
Kiley said," Uh huh. Surfer dudes."
I said," Oh no not again."
She said," Come on I want a closer look."
I said," Ok fine."
I closed my book then ran in the water with her.
Kiley looked at the surfers.
She said," I found mine. Now we need to find you one."
I said," Oh please Kiley I don't need one."
Kiley said," Don't need one but want one."
I said," Well yeah."
Kiley said," I think you might be in luck. See that guy in red."
I said," No way that can't be the guy I saw last summer. He looks so different."
Kiley said," I hope by different you mean good."
Me and Kiley swam for a while. We watched the surfers surf. Then we went in a little deeper. Another wave was coming.
Kiley said." Oh no Sarah look."
I looked and saw a huge wave coming.
Kiley said," Hurry swim. This wave will crush us."
We swam as fast as we could to get to shore. Kiley got to shore. I was still struggling to get to shore.
Kiley said," Uh oh. Sarah look out!!!"
I looked and saw a surfer was on the wave coming near me. The surfer tried to slow down but he couldn't. I went under water and saw his board coming at me quickly. I didn't have enough time to react, so it hit my head. The wave had crushed me and the surfer guy.
I was unconscious but could still hear a little bit of what was going on. I felt these muscular hands grab me and pulling me to shore. I thought for sure it was the surfer guy saving me. I could hear Kiley and the guy talking. Kiley took his surfboard and put it on the ground.
He put me on the ground.
Kiley said," Sarah is she ok?"
The surfer guy said," I don't know she drowned. I think that wave and my board hurt her."
Blood started appearing on Sarah's forehead. He did CPR.
Kiley said," I'll call for help."
A few minutes past nothing happened.
Kiley, Lilly, Mark, and the surfer guy all took me to the hospital. Sarah could still hear things happening. They all sat in my room.
Lilly said," Did you call her mom?"
Kiley said," Yeah. They're gonna fly here and be here by tonight."
They all waited till night.
Sarah's parents arrived and immediately went to see Sarah.
Sarah's mom said," Sarah! Oh Sarah my dear."
She walked over to her and held her hand. She kissed her cheek.
She said," Sarah."
Sarah's dad said," How's she doing?"
Kiley said," She hasn't woke up yet."
The surfer guys said," She's still breathing though. I even did CPR on her."
Sarah's mom said," Well that's good to know hopefully soon then."
Kiley said," Well I'll stay."
Lilly said," Yeah I would but there's not enough room so me and Mark will come back in the morning."
Kiley said," Ok."
Sarah's mom said," Of course we'll stay."
The surfer guy said," No you guys shouldn't have to."
Sarah's mom and Kiley said," What?"
The surfer guy said," No if anyone should stay it should be me. The accident is because of me. You guys should get some rest. I'll stay for however long it takes to apologize to her."
They all agreed. The surfer guy sat in the chair waiting for her to wake up.
The next day she still didn't wake. The nurse finally came to tell everyone that she will be fine. She should wake any time or day now. Everyone was relieved.
Nighttime came. The surfer guy was staring at Sarah.
Kiley said," You really care about her."
He said," I just wanna be able to tell her that I'm sorry."
She said," You don't have to do this again you know stay the night."
He said," I want to, I want to be here the second she awakens. Only thing is hopefully she won't hate me for what happened."
She said," I don't think she will. She's very kind and understanding."
She walked to the door.
She said," And Jon that's very kind of you for wanting to stay every night."
He said," No problem."
