Falling for a Surfer

     Sarah and Jon would go every morning to surf. Jon would do his own surfing for an hour. Sarah would be cheering him on. When he was done he would swim over to her. He put his hand on her neck and pulled her in for a kiss.
     She started breathing heavy. She could feel butterflies in her stomach every time he kissed her.
He said," Are you ready for your lesson now?"
She sighed.
She said," Yeah."
He said," Hey you got this. I'll be right here the whole time."
She said," I know."
     She swam over to small waves. She put her ankle strap on. She took a deep breath. She swam past the small waves. She looked back at Jon over by the small waves.
He said," You got this!!!"
     She smiled. She turn around to swim to the small waves. She tried to swim fast so she could catch a wave quicker possibly. She tried to catch one of waves. She tried to balance herself on the board, but she fell off.
     She kept trying and trying to catch a wave. She would always keep falling off.

     Some time past. Sarah could tell she wasn't falling off the board as quickly as she has been in the past. She knew she was getting better with her balance. Now she just had to try to ride the wave.

     One day. Sarah and Jon went to the beach. Sarah was practicing surfing. Her balance on the surfboard was great. She tried to ride the wave, but fell off again.
She swam over to Jon. He hugged her.
He said," Shh. You got this. You got this. Your so close."
She said," Am I really?"
He said," Yes. Trust me I know your gonna get it any day now maybe even today still."
She said," You really think so."
He said," I know so. Do you know how long it took me to learn how to surf?"
She said," A while?"
He said," Mhm it's not easy. Just trust me it's all worth it. Especially in the end."
She smiled. He kissed her forehead.
He said," Have I ever let you down?"
She said," No."
He kissed her cheek.
He said," For good luck."
She kissed his cheek. She swam past the small waves.
She said," Try everything. Ok let's do this."
     She started to feel more confident that she could probably do it. She turned back to the small waves. She tried to catch one of the waves. She swam quickly.
     Then lifted herself up to stand on the board. She squatted and tried to get a hold of her balance. She tried to ride the wave like she's been trying to do. With a lot confidence she was able to ride the waves. She couldn't believe it.
She smiled.
Jon screamed all happy for her.
He said," I knew you could do it."
She looked at Jon and smiled. She jumped off her board.
Jon said," Woo!!!"
He swam over to where she jumped off.
He said," You did it."
He looked around.
He said," Sarah. Sarah!"
      She went behind him without him seeing her. She tipped his board over. Jon fell in the water. She laughed. She went underwater. She hugged him and they floated up.
He said," What. Uh. What was that for?"
She said," I did it and wanted to have some fun with you."
He said," Oh really you sure you weren't doing this to get me all wet."
She said," Well maybe that too hehe."
He said," Evil."
She said," I can be."
He said," I can be too so watch out."
She hugged him.
She said," I can't believe I did it."
He said," I know I'm so proud of you. See I told you could do it."
She kissed his cheek.
He said," You know what this means right?"
She said," What?"
He said," Once you get more used to the little waves then you'll be ready for the big waves."
She said," You really think so."
He said," I know so."
She said," Oh Jon. I never want summer to end."
He said," Me neither. I love teaching you."
He kissed her.
He said," I love this more though."
She said," Oh Jon."
They kissed.
