Falling for a Surfer

Weeks went by and Sarah had never fallen off the board again. She could tell she was totally mastering these small waves. Jon always stayed near her just in case if she ever needed help.
She said," I'm catching the next wave."
He said," Go for it."
     She swam past some of the small waves. Then swam back quickly to catch a small wave. She pushed herself up to stand on the surfboard. She balanced herself and bent her knees. She rode the wave.
     Jon gave her a thumbs up. She smiled. After a few minutes she jumped back into the water. She swam back to Jon. He gave her a high five.
He said," You know I think your ready."
She said," Ready for what?"
He smiled at her.
She said," Wait seriously you think so?"
He said," I know it has taken a long time to learn the small waves. I think your ready though."
She smiled. They swam to the deep where the big waves are.
She said," Jon?"
He said," Yeah."
She said," You know how it took me so long to learn how to surf on the small waves."
He said," Yeah."
She said," Well by time I learn how to surf on these. Will it be the end of summer?"
He said," Probably."
She said," I don't want it to end."
He said," Me neither."
     She kissed his cheek. He swam to one of the big waves and rode the wave. Sarah smiled. She loved watching him surf. He did a few tricks while surfing. She was always amazed at how he could do tricks.

Later that night.
     Jon and Sarah went to dinner on the beach. After dinner they went to a bonfire to join their friends. Lilly, Kiley, and Mark were there so was some of Jon's friends. Jon's friends also knew how to surf. Everyone sat in lawn chairs while roasting marshmallows and talking.
Mark said," Don't worry I brought everything to make s'mores."
Kiley said," Oh I love s'mores."
Jon said," Doesn't everyone."
Sarah said," Definitely."
He said," Are you ready Sarah?"
She said," Hmm?"
He had a s'more ready for her it just needed a marshmallow.
She said," Oh yes here."
She blew on her marshmallow to put the flame out. She put it on the Graham cracker. Jon made her the s'more.
He said," There you go."
He handed her the plate.
She said," Thanks."
She ate the s'mores.
She said," Do you have them often Jon?"
He said," Um. Just whenever we have a bonfire usually."
She said," Are you gonna have one right now?"
He said," Yeah I like my marshmallow very burnt."
She said," Burnt gives it crisp."
He said," Yeah."
     She made him a s'more. He added the marshmallow. He ate it.
One of Jon's friends said," Hey who wants some music on?"
Mark said," You mean rock and roll?"
Lilly said," Oh great."
Kiley and Sarah started laughing. They know Lilly gets embarrassed when Mark dances crazy.
Jon said," How about something to get this party going."
They all cheered.
     Jon pulled out his phone and connected it to the speaker his friends brought. He put an upbeat song on. Everyone got up and started dancing.
Sarah said," You picked a good one."
He said," Your next."
     After a few minutes Jon let Sarah pick the next song. Sarah typed in one she liked. Sarah, Lilly, and Kiley started singing the song. Jon, Mark, and one of Jon's friends started singing the song.
Sarah and Lilly went up to their boyfriends and did sexy dancing in front of them.
     Kiley did it to one Jon's friends. The guys did it back to them. They all had fun dancing and trying to make each other laugh. Lilly put on a romantic song to heat things up. Jon put out his hand.
He said," Sarah?"
Sarah smiled. She grabbed his hand. They started slow dancing together.
One of Jon's friends went up to Kiley.
He said," Would you like to dance?"
Kiley said," Sure."
Jon said," You excited for the big waves tomorrow?"
Sarah said," Little nervous."
He said," Don't be."
He spun her around. She giggled. He pulled her chin into kiss her.
Kiley's partner spun her around a few times.
She said," You know I don't know why but you look very familiar to me."
He said," Really because this is the first time meeting each other."
She said," Hmm. Where have I seen you?"
He said," I'm sure I would've remembered seeing you around."
Sarah said," Jon?"
Jon said," Yeah."
She said," That guy that is dancing with Kiley. Why does he look so familiar?"
He said," Um well. You were here last summer right?"
She said," Mhm."
He said," He's one of my best friends that I go surfing with every summer. So it could've been when you saw us last summer or this summer before your accident."
She said," Oh I think that's the guy Kiley was crushing on."
He said," Crushing on. Well that's something you both have in common."
She said," What?"
He said," You both like surfers."
She said," I guess so."
He said," You guess?"
She giggled. He picked her up.
He said," I know you do."
     Jon carried Sarah all the way back to their hotel suite. He threw her on the bed. She tugged on his shirt. He took it off.
She said," That is one reason why I fell for you."
He said," What?"
She hugged him.
She said," Your abs."
He said," Oh you are a bad girl."
     She giggled. He laid next to her on the bed. She scooted her hand trying to touch his hand. Their hands touched. He turned his head to face her. She slowly turned her head to face him.
She said," Jon?"
He said," Hmm."
She said," Do you remember tonight when you said you came here last summer with your friend?"
He said," Mhm."
She said," I don't know if you saw me, but I did see you that summer."
He was in shock.
He said," You did?"
She said," Mhm. Kiley would always look out at the ocean trying to find hot guys to be our boyfriends."
He said," Really?"
She said," Yeah. I would always be to busy reading my book. When she would tell me she wanted to go in the water. I would go with her. She said your friend was her man."
He said," And for you?"
She said," Well."
She kissed his hand.
He said," No way."
She said," Yeah she picked you for me."
He rubbed her cheek.
He said," Do you think you made the right choice?"
She touched his cheek.
She said," I know I did."
He pulled her in to kiss her.
She said," Did you see me that summer?"
He said," Now that I think about it. I think I did for a moment."
She said," Really?"
He said," Yeah. I think I saw you and Kiley for a moment in the ocean."
She said," That's when we were checking you out."
He said," Really?"
She said," Your hair looked so different that year."
He said," Shut up. I decided to grow it out a little bit last year."
She laughed.
She said," To be honest. I like this style better."
He said," Why because it's shorter?"
She said," I like it all wavy."
She touched his hair.
She said," Plus it's always so soft."
He said," It's not when I put gel in."
She said," I like it either way."
He said," I would hope so."
He kissed her.
