Falling for a Surfer

Sarah meets Jon

     Jon walked over to Sarah. He held her hand.
He said," I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you."
He stroked her cheek.
He said," Please open your eyes."
She could hear him. She tried to move. He sighed. He walked over towards the door. She took a deep breath.
He thought he heard her breath. She moaned. He ran over to her. She slowly opened her eyes. She looked around all confused.
She slowly sat up. She touched her forehead.
She said," Owe that hurt."
He said," Careful."
She looked up at him.
He said," Are you ok?"
She said," I think so. Who are you?"
He said," I'm Jon."
She said," Jon?"
He said," Yes."
She said," Where am I?"
He said," Your in the hospital. I'm so sorry it's all my fault."
She started getting flashbacks of the accident.
She said," Jon it's you. Your the guy that was on the surfboard. Right?"
He said," Yes I'm very sorry that I hurt you."
She said," Those waves were so strong. Probably why you came so fast on them with your board."
He said," Yeah believe me I tried to not hit you, once I saw you. I couldn't think quickly enough though."
She said," I know. It's ok you don't need to apologize."
He smiled.
He said," But still I'm the reason your in here."
She said," I'm still breathing aren't I?"
He said," Yeah. I tried to do CPR on you."
She said," You did?"
He said," Yeah."
She said," Well thanks. Your very kind."
He said," It's nothing."
She said," Where are my friend's by the way?"
He said," At the hotel. They waited here the last few days, but me I."
She said," You stayed every night."
He looked at her in surprise. He smiled.
He said," And during the day."
She said," May I ask why?"
He walked closer to her.
He said," The second you woke up. I wanted to be here to tell you I'm sorry. That I truly never meant to hurt you."
She said," I know you didn't mean to."
She slowly touched his hand.
He said," Anything I can do to make it up to you?"
She said," I have an idea."
He said," Anything you name it."
She said," Even if it's something big and might take a while."
He said," Oh no are you gonna blow up my bank account?"
She teased him.
She said," Maybe."
He said," Ok, what do you want?"
She said," Teach me how to surf."
He said," Surf?"
She nodded.
He said," You wanna know how to surf. Even after everything that just happened."
She said," It's been my dream to always learn."
He said," Really?"
She said," Yes. Will you teach me?"
He said," You wouldn't be doing this by any chance to try to get closer to me. Are you?"
She said," Please?"
He giggled.
He said," Well how can I say no to that."
She smiled.
She said," You can't."
He said," Yes I can."
She said," I doubted."
He said," Oh really."
She said," I think I know your weakness."
He said," Oh yeah. What is it?"
She touched his cheek.
He said," Sarah?"
She said," Jon."
She slowly kissed him. She let go.
She said," Well was I right?"
He slowly pushed her on the bed and started kissing her. He then went down to her neck.
She said," Jon if you can't tell but I'm crushing on you."
He said," You mean crushing on each other."
She giggled.
She said," How old are you?"
He said," Twenty. You?"
She said," Eighteen."
He said," You in college?"
She said," Next year."
He said," Senior year is the best."
She smiled.
He said," Well I should let you rest more."
She grabbed his arm.
She said," Stay with me. Please?"
He said," You think you can make room in that tiny bed."
She scooted over to the side.
She said," Never underestimate me."
He said," I'll try to remember that."
She said," Just try?"
He got in the bed with her.
He said," You know I'll do more than that."
She snuggled up close to him. He put his arm around her.
He said," So does this mean I'm forgiven?"
She kissed him.
She said," Yes."
She touched his short dark black wavy hair. He stroked her long blonde wavy hair.
He said," You're so beautiful."
She stared deep into his dark brown eyes.
She said," You are."
She pulled him in. They kissed.
She closed her eyes.
She said," Goodnight attractive surfer."
He said," Goodnight beautiful soon to be surfer."
They fell asleep in each others arms.
