Falling for a Surfer

First day of Senior year

It was the first day of senior year. Sarah was in her room. She sat at her vanity finishing up putting makeup on. Her phone rang. She answered the phone and put it on speaker.
She said," Hi girls."
Kiley said," You ready to go?"
Sarah said," Yeah I'll be there in ten minutes just putting my lip gloss on."
Lilly said," Ok we'll be waiting by the school sign to take a picture."
Sarah said," Ok."
Kiley said," Peace out."
They all hung up the call. Sarah finished doing her lips. She grabbed her backpack and keys. She got in her car. She drove to school. She parked in the parking lot. She grabbed her backpack and got out of her car. She locked her car. She walked over to where her friends were. She saw the school sign.
Kiley said," Sarah!!!"
Sarah ran over to Kiley and Lilly. They gave a group hug.
Kiley said," Selfie time."
Kiley got out her phone. She held up her phone and tried to take the photo.
Sarah said," It's not straight."
Kiley said," Yeah. Lilly?"
Lilly said," Why?"
Kiley said," You got longer arms."
Sarah said," Yeah plus your taller than us."
Lilly said," Ok fine."
She grabbed the phone. She held up the phone. They all smiled.
Lilly said," You girls ready?"
Kiley and Sarah both said," Yes."
Lilly took multiple photos. She gave the phone back to Kiley.
Kiley said," Thanks. I'll send these photos to you girls."
Sarah said," Cool."
Lilly said," We should get to class."
Kiley said," Ok."
They all walked to the building to go to their first class. Kiley sent the photos to Lilly and Sarah. Sarah did a post on Instagram. She labeled it first day of senior year. She also tagged Kiley and Lilly in the photo. She looked through her camera roll. She looked at photos from the summer. She missed Jon so much. It made her cry looking at photos of them together.
She said," I miss you so much."
She started breaking down crying. Kiley grabbed a tissue from her backpack.
She said," Here Sarah."
Sarah grabbed the tissue and wiped her eyes and blew her nose.
Lilly said," I a little bit saw this coming."
Kiley said," Yeah to bad he couldn't have come."
Sarah said," I miss him girls. I didn't even get to tell him."
Kiley said," Do you wish you would've told him now?"
Sarah said," Yeah."
Lilly said," I told you to do it before you left."
Kiley said," Not helping Lilly."
Sarah said," I'll be ok. I just hope this year goes by quickly."
Lilly said," Not to quickly it's senior year."
Sarah said," Don't you miss Mark?"
Lilly said," Ehh."
Kiley kicked her leg.
Lilly said," Owe. Ok ok. I do ok. You know I love him."
Kiley said," See."
The door for the first class opened.
Kiley said," Here Sarah you might need these more than me."
She handed Sarah the little pack of tissue.
Sarah said," You sure."
Kiley said," Yeah I can always buy more."
Sarah said," Ok."
She grabbed the tissue and put it in her backpack. They walked into class and sat at their desks.

Most of the day was hard for Sarah all she could think about was Jon. She wanted so badly to be with him and wondered how he was doing in school. Some of the teachers asked what everyone did during the summer. It was a little hard for Sarah to talk about because she missed Jon so much. She did her best not to break down and cry.

After school.
Sarah drove home. She ate a snack and did her homework. After she was done with her homework, she laid on her bed. She grabbed her phone and looked at photos of her and Jon.
She said," Jon I wonder what you're doing right now. I wish I could see you. I have something that I want to tell you that I didn't get to tell you."
She saw the beach. She was standing on the sand looking at the waves rushing onto the sand.
She said," This place looks familiar. I feel like I've been here before."
A voice said," You have."
She said," That voice."
She turned around. She saw Jon.
She screamed and cried tears of joy. She ran up to him and wrapped her legs around him.
He said," Hey beautiful."
She said," Oh Jon I missed you so much."
He said," I missed you so much too."
They kissed.
He said," Let's go have some fun."
They played in the ocean splashing each other and swimming. He held her close.
She said," Please don't ever leave me Jon."
He said," I never will I'll always be here with you and always in your heart. I promise."
She said," Jon I have something I wanna tell you."
He said," I think I know what it is."
She said," You do."
He said," I feel..."
Sarah opened her eyes.
She said," Jon I!!!"
She looked around. She was in her room.
She said," Oh it was just a dream."
She rubbed her eyes. She got out of bed.
She said," It felt so real. I wish it was real so I could tell him."
She sat by her window.
She said," Hopefully soon I can tell you."
