Today was the day.
Finally, after six very, very long months of idiotic pining, Denki Kaminari was going on a date with Hitoshi Shinsou.
And of course, Izuku Todoroki was driving over to help him panic over his outfit for three hours and then get dressed in fifteen minutes. The green-haired omega was smiling like mad on his drive over. The night Denki and Shinsou had their first kiss, Kaminari had FaceTimed everyone, from the Todorokis to Bakugou, to describe it in full detail and show off the rose he'd gotten from the his alpha crush.
Izuku was impressed. He'd assumed Shinsou would find a casual way to finally ask out the omega. After all, the man was stoic and silent around everyone... but it seemed like Denki was an exception. Instead, he'd given the omega of his affections a rose covered with a thin film of diamonds. Izuku knew for a fact that if Denki knew how much the rose had cost (he estimated around $400 to $500), he wouldn't have accepted it. From Denki's closing speech on the FaceTime call, he sounded terrified of being a gold digger or a cheat or a bad boyfriend in general. It had taken fifteen minutes to help Mina calm the younger omega down from the frenzy he'd worked himself into.
Plus, he'd been so inspired by Denki's romantic prowess that Izuku had pulled out the bunny lingerie he'd bought for his own wedding night. Shoto had walked in while Izuku was trying it on to see if it still fit, as well as for nostalgia's sake. All in all, the sex had been even better than usual that night, and Izu had Denki to thank for that. (They'd gone for eight rounds. Shoto Todoroki? Going more than three rounds without being terrified of hurting his mate? Unheard of. Izuku wasn't able to walk for the next three days, and he'd had to take a week off of work. Shoto spent the entire time apologizing and buying Izu gifts. Amazing sex.)
When he got to Mina's house, Kirishima, Jirou, and Momo were already there. Kiri looked like he had no idea what he was doing, but Izuku gave the beta an A for effort as he put together a yellow and purple ensemble. When Eijirou saw the older omega's borderline judgemental stare, he protested, "Yellow and purple! It matches them!"
"Make way for the mother hen," Mina laughed as Izu stepped into the room. Izuku was trying to keep the bitchspeak he used when judging others' outfits under control (he'd learned it from Mina and the gang), but he couldn't help letting out just a little bit. "We can do matching colors in their wedding bouquets, Ei, but they've been dating for two weeks. We're trying to make him look innocent and consumable, not like the Riddler."
Denki himself finally walked in, yawning, with a steaming mug of chocolate mocha in his hands. He nearly dropped the cup when he saw his friends going through his clothes. "What the heck? When did y'all get here? Why are y'all even here?"
Mina laughed. "That's hilarious. Like you'd go on your first date with Shinsou without our help in picking out your outfit."
Denki shrugged, then actually did drop his mug. "Oh my god the outfit- I don't know what to wear- he didn't even say where he was taking me-"
Mina smacked the back of Denki's head. "Dumbass! How did you-" Denki smacked her back. "Profanity, you rude bitchass motherfuck-"
Mina dissolved into giggles. "Why is it that you only curse when telling people not to?" Denki joined her in laughter, stopping when he realized that jokes aside, he had nothing to wear.
Izuku shook his head with a maternal smile. "Anyway-" He cleared his throat. "You need to text and ask him what to wear and where you're going so we can have you looking delicious by the time the date starts." Denki sat down on the bed and Izu set his chin on Denki's shoulder as he looked at the screen. Mina mimicked his pose on the other side and everyone else crowded around them.
