Inevitable

"I think moving in sounds reasonable," Izuku said. "I mean, I think I'd have done anything for Shouto five months in. It might be an omega thing, might be a soulmate thing, I'm not sure."

The pair sat snuggled together in Izuku's nest. The older omega had an absurd amount of nests in the house that he said had all been put up recently. Denki thought he knew why.

"It does?" Denki asked, disbelieving. "Mina thought it was crazy. So did Kiri."

Izuku winced. "Omega thing, then. I should note that down."

Todoroki walked into the living room, saw the pair cuddling, and walked out. "No. Not dealing with this today."

Denki looked curiously at the omega next to him. "What's that about?"

"I dunno. Shoucchan's been jealous lately. Nearly killed Kacchan when he saw me talking to him." He stared at the door Shouto had left through, a familiar calculating look in his eyes. "He's usually not like this."

Denki raised his eyebrows. How could someone so incredibly smart be so incredibly dense? "Izu-chan, do you think you might be pregnant?"

"What?" Izuku exclaimed, laughing to himself. "That's ridiculous. I mean-" His mouth clamped shut and he went milk-white. "Oh my god." He got up from the nest, hands over his mouth. "Oh my god. We went- we did it raw a few weeks ago- oh my goodness. We were hoping- but I never thought- the doctor said it might be risky- oh my god." He held a finger out to Kaminari, signaling "one minute" and yelled across the house, "SHOU! SHOUTO TODOROKI! GET OVER HERE!"

Denki excused himself with a smile, hugging Izuku goodbye and wishing Todoroki good luck.

That night, Izuku called with big news. He was, in fact, pregnant, and had been so for a few weeks. Denki was the first outside the couple to know, and Izuku trusted him not to tell. They ended the call talking about Hitoshi's offer.

"Think on it, alright?" the older omega lectured authoritatively. "Take all the time you need. If he's the right guy, he'll wait as long as it takes. But when an omega's instincts tell them to go for something, with all their heart and surety, it's usually the right path." There was a pause on the other end of the line. "Actually, make him wait. Testing your love might not be the nicest thing ever, but sometimes, it's better in the long run. Trust me."

As Denki pondered this, there was a snort on Izuku's end. "Sure made me wait. A full year until I got a blowjob. I'm lucky you didn't make me wait until marriage," Shouto said, voice distant.

"Shoucchan! He can still hear you."

"Shit."

Denki giggled. "I'll leave you two alone. Congratulations again! Have fun while you can."

He received a warm goodbye from them both, and Kaminari loved listening to the undercurrent of excitement in their voices. Even Shouto Todoroki, stoic as a rock, had shown a different side of himself today.

Everything was looking up.

Five weeks later, Shinsou was helping carry Denki's boxes into his apartment. The boxes were light and probably mostly empty. Shinsou knew that Denki already hadn't brought much from his own house to Mina's and hadn't gathered a lot of stuff there, so the boxes weren't heavy at all. There were six boxes with labels that Hitoshi didn't quite understand, but Denki waved off his confusion, explaining that he sorted his stuff by iconic Vines so they made sense to him and no one could tell where the valuables were kept. How could you tell where anything was when the boxes were labeled things like "So John if you're out there"?

Apparently that was where Denki had packed his favorite dry foods that Shinsou didn't have, including Honey-Nut Cheerios. Shinsou didn't understand the reference, but Denki just laughed and said it was okay.

Tabby had taken to her new home immediately, rolling around on Shinsou's carpet like catnip. She wandered over to Shinsou and Denki ever so often to rub up against their legs and go back to exploring the apartment.

Sometime during the emptying of the fifth box, Kaminari paused to stretch and turned to Hitoshi. "Hito, I wanna meet your parents."

Shinsou snickered. "I always thought that was weird."

Denki frowned, confused. "What?"

"I dunno, it's like, 'Hey, today is going well. We should have dinner, make out a little, and then I should bring my parents into this.'"

Denki gave a surprised laugh. "I'm perfectly fine with just the making out if you'd prefer."

"So am I. Uh, but I did want to introduce you to my parents. There was a thing I have to ask my dad and I figured I could kill two birds with one stone."

"Sounds good then," Denki smiled. "Would next weekend be okay? How long is the commute?"

"It's like an hour away from here."

"Mkay, so you pick me up on like Friday and we can go together then?"

"We live together, Denki." Hitoshi smirked. Denki looked down at the box he was emptying and smacked his forehead. "Wow, today is not my day."

"It's fine, love. This is gonna take some getting used to, I assume." Hitoshi took Denki by the waist and swept him into a bridal carry.

Denki yelped and tightened his grip around Shinsou's neck. "You have to warn me beforehand- you're gonna drop me one day!"

"But then it's not romantic," Shinsou pouted.

"I promise that you not dropping me on the dirty floor that I'm going to have to clean up because you were a stereotype of a bachelor is plenty romantic." Denki frowned playfully at his boyfriend.

"Fineeeeeeeee," Hitoshi made to set Denki down and the omega tightened his arms further.

"I didn't say you could put me down, though."

"I thought we were going to make out a little?"

"Yeah, but this way I'm your height."

"How is that rele- mmm."
