"Do not move a single muscle or I will end your life." a female voice interrupted the silence.

I am definitely gonna get robbed and probably die tonight...

I thought as I stopped in my tracks, my body not responding to my own commands out of pure fear.
I heard her footsteps come closer and closer until she was directly behind me. The metallic barrel of the gun was being pressed firmly into my back and I felt a tear fall from my cheek, I didn't even realize I was crying.

My soft sobs caused the suspect to shift in mood unexpectedly. She lightened her firmness of the gun on my back and sighed heavily.
"I am not planning to kill you so soon. I just need to have a serious talk with you and I need you to listen." she stated and my sobs quieted as I realized ahe wasn't going to kill me just yet.

"Whatever entity is in your life- whatever alien, deity, whatever it is... you must leave it alone." She demanded and it felt almost as if my heart stopped.
"What are you talking ab-" I began to act as if I didn't know, but she pressed the gun firmly into my back once again.
"You know exactly who I am talking about. Do not play ignorant with a fucking pistol to your back!" she growled as she pressed it very roughly against my back again.

"Okay! O-okay! Just please tell me who are you and why do you need to know!?" I cried out, my voice shaking.

She sighed again before recomposing herself.
"I'm Krishna. I am the younger sister of your formal boss, Janet. We have both lost someone very dear to us, a sister we both loved so much." She started explaining and I listened intently.

"She started getting strange visits from this strange being. We could never see it, but she could. Every week, she became more and more distant from us. We both thought she was losing her mind. We decided that we should get her omitted into a mental hospital, however, it was too late. She had vanished from her apartment. Completely gone without a trace." she explained and I began to grow weary yet I still wasn't buying it.

"So what- your sister became mentally ill and went off the grid? Firstly, I am very sorry about your situation, but this has nothing to do with me-" I replied until she became defensive.
"Oh but it does! You see- she was seeing an entity just like you are... and she had this weird aura around her that made us feel sick, and so do you. Can't you see? There is something not ri-" she ranted on and on until she was interrupted by something or someone shoving her to the ground abruptly.

She grunted in pain as she desperately picked up her gun that fell and quickly aimed it at whoever it was that assaulted her.

When spinning around to see what happened, my eyes landed on Dark, he looked as brave and as handsome as ever. When noticing the barrel was pointed directly at him, I felt a sudden urge to save him. So I did.

I quickly stood in front of him and glared at Krishna who was now on her back against the ground, her gun pointed at me. Her eyes widened when noticing that I was in the way.
"What are you doing!?" she asked, panicking.
"Yeah- what the hell-" Dark started, but I shushed him.

"I cannot let you do that. He is my friend." I stated and her eyes narrowed in disbelief.
"You are brainwashed, I tell you... brainwashed!!" she yelled.
"This is my chance, fucking move out of the way, or else!!" she screamed and I shook my head.
"How do you even know for sure that he is the one who did it?" I asked and she stuttered for words.
"B-because, I can see the darkness of endless evil in his eyes!!" she claimed and I rolled my eyes at her delusional banter.

"Look, Krishna, I am so sorry about your sister, but blaming others for her disappearance is not okay. You should seek help. You and your sister." I explained and she shook her head with a disgusted look on her face, as if she couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"I'm sorry. But I am frankly tired of the bullshit." Dark growled with an anger that supercedes anything I have ever heard before.
She was clearly overtaken by fear and she instantly pulled at the trigger when seeing Dark approach her, however, Dark was already using his power to disable the gun from working. With a flick of his wrist, the gun was sent flying across the street and into the darkness of the woods.
"I'm sick of you and people like you-" he muttered, his voice deep and distorted like once before.
"I'm sick of the bullshit and the lies-" he growled as he stood directly in front of her, she tried to desperately crawl backwards away from him.

"Please! Please don't hurt me!" she pleaded as she tried to get away.
"Did you care about that when you tried to  shoot this innocent lady? Fuck no." he groaned, kneeling over her, and getting a firm grip on a tuft of her hair, pulling her back towards the ground. She screamed in terror as she thrashed around, flailing her legs and grabbing at his hand.

All I could do was watch, completely stunned by Dark's actions.
"I will take great pleasure in doing this-" he growled, his free hand raising into the air, getting ready to strike, until he caught a glimpse of my stare. My horrified stare, fixated on the situation before me.

Seeing me in this state caused him to instantly calm down. He glanced down at Krishna, who had tears streaming down her face at this point and reluctantly decided to let her go.
"Leave. And do not return. If I ever see you around her again- that will be the last moment of your existence. Capiche?" he stated and Krishna nodded vigorously before taking off running far far away from us.

He stood up and walked over to me to make sure I was okay.
"I'm so sorry you have to deal with people like her. It's all my fault. People are weary of things they cannot explain." he muttered as he held me close in a tight embrace. I melted in his loving arms and sighed, feeling safe once more.

"What she said is all a lie, right?" I mumbled and he nodded against me.
"A complete lie. Humans love to make up stories when they do not understand something. It is very marvelous to me." he chuckled and I giggled along.

"Well... now that this is settled. I would like to drink and play games now." I stated after a while of silence.

"Agreed."
