My hazed eyes scanned my computer screen frantically as I tried searching what was haunting me and how to get rid of it. Time flew by and I gasped once I noticed that it was almost midnight when glancing at my clock. I sighed, rubbing my eyes as I jotted down some important info I found when scouring the internet for answers.

•incubus
•male demon- attracted to mostly woman
•can be summoned with letter to Lillith
•sometimes yearns for romantic relationship with human
•capable of reproducing
•can be dangerous if treated wrongly
•do not disrespect demon
•talk with professional medium if situation gets out of hand

I bit my lip, my foot tapping, as anxiety flooded my being. I decided that calling a professional was the way to go. After researching some more, I stumbled across a number. It was a contact for a well-known medium named Kathryn.

I sat quietly as I waited, the phone buzzing against my ear. Suddenly, my phone was snatched from my hand, flying across the room and landing on my bed. I screeched with fear as I spun around, my eyes landing on the culprit who did it. It was him again.

"You- h-how did you~" I squealed, my voice shaking.
"-Telepathy." He quickly answered with a bitter undertone.
"Now tell me..." He spoke softly, leaving his leaning position on the wall to walk near me. I gulped involuntarily as I scooted back in my seat.
"...why is it that you humans believe that these pathetic "mediums" , "psychics" or whatever you like to call it- work?" He asked with a disgusted look. My eyebrows knitted in confusion once again, trying to see what he was getting at.
"They are just scams, making you believe that they can connect to the spirit realm just so they can take your money." He chuckled darkly as he halted his steps right in front of me.

"Well, hate to rain on your parade, but..." He leaned in, his face close to mine.
"That shit isn't going to work on me." He finished with a sassy smirk. My eyes averted from his to the ground, fearing that I may have upset him.
"Well, I hope that me telling you that you need to leave, works." I croaked, my voice hoarse from shock.

He sighed, his eyes showing a bit of hurt as he stood back up, regaining his stoic composure.
"Why are you so insisted on making me leave?" He asked, pain evident in his voice.
"Because y-you aren't of this world. I hardly know you... I don't even know what you are and frankly- I'm scared of you!" I pleased with him and he just lightly popped his neck by tilting his head. Sighing, he fixed his suit.
"I understand. You're scared. That's why we should spend more time together and get to know each other. I can assure you there is nothing to be afraid of. I will protect you and treat you with the utmost respect." He practically begged and I sighed with frustration.

I stared at him with a blank face, gears turning in my head.
Should I give him a chance?

"Yes. You should! You'll never know unless you try, right?" He asked with a speck of hope.
Great. He can read minds, of course.
I sighed for the last time that night.
"Fine." I muttered, feeling myself calm down a bit.
Maybe this won't be so bad.

Before I could blink, he appeared beside me, taking a seat as well. I jumped startled before looking at him.
"Okay. You've gotta stop doing that!" I snapped and he raised a brow.
"Anything for you, doll." He smirked, giving me heart eyes. I just shook my head, giving him a dirty look before standing up out of my seat and walking away to go get ready for bed.

I couldn't believe it. I have another man in my house, something that hasn't happened in a while. Yet, he wasn't a man, he was a being from beyond, however his presence was extremely strong. I could feel it when he entered the atmosphere, even when he wasn't visible. I usually would get chills and a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach, very similar to right now...
"Dark. Could you not watch me undress before getting in the shower." I grunted and he groaned before making himself visible in the corner of my bathroom.
"I find it amazing that you can tell when I'm here. No other being of your kind can do that but you." He spoke with widened eyes.
"Well, it isn't very hard to feel your presence. It's very strong." I warned and suddenly, he appeared pressing up against me from behind.
"Or you are just very sensitive~" he growled into my ear with a deep rumble.
"Dark! Boundaries please!" I squealed and he quickly took a few steps back.
"I'm so sorry, I couldn't resist." He raised a brow in a sexual manner.
"I'll take my leave now." He warned before disappearing into thin air. The sick feeling was gone and the atmosphere around me settled, he's gone.

I finish undressing and entered the shower. I took a deep breath, accepting my life as it is now, thinking of what it is that I've gotten myself into.

🌙🌙🌙

I snuggled into my blankets, feeling fresh and cozy until I heard something move within my room. Fear settled in my bosom for I couldn't feel his presence, so it couldn't have been him. Before I could turn completely around, I felt a cold metallic object pressed against the back of my head and the faint sound of a gun clicking.

My face drained of all my blood as I became paralyzed in fear.
"Do not move a muscle! I want you to get into my van. Now!" The man yelled, his voice muffled from a mask I assumed.

I slowly stood up, walking to the front door in my pajamas, as this lunatic pushed me with a gun to my head. Tears began to rush down my face as he forced me to open my door.
"Go ahead!" He screamed and I quickly turned the knob, realizing that my locks were broken.
That's how he got in?

Right when opening the door, time instantly slowed down. Chills skittered up and down my spine as the sick feeling settled in my stomach, a lot stronger this time. I felt a strong gust of wind pass by me before the man behind me screamed with pain. I feel to my knees before turning around and seeing the awful sight. Dark had swooped in and bashed the man's head against the back wall of my apartment. The man was unconscious and as soon as his body hit the ground, time sped back to normal. I caught my breath as I shook with shock and my innards felt like jelly.

Dark walked closely to me, kneeling to my side as he caressed my shoulder.
"Are y... O... ...ey, a..." He was trying to ask me something, but my brain began to shut down from the overload of trauma. Finally, I fainted, the last thing I felt being his arms catching me before I lost all sense of everything.

What a week.
