I awoken to a familiar aroma. My eyes adjusted to the dimly lit room around me, sunlight peeking through my curtain. I sat up in bed, rubbing the sleep from my eyes as I swung my feet around to meet the carpet. I stood up, making my way to the kitchen to see what the smell was, my thin sleeping gown falling off one shoulder.

I groaned under my breath as I grumpily looked at Dark, he was fixing waffles and sausage, placing them upon two plates with a spatula.
"Morning." I groaned, still grumpy.
He gave me a slow glance back, eyeing me up and down before smirking.
"Morning, sweets. Do you feel any hunger on this fine morning?" He asked and I nodded silently. He walked my plate over to me, I got a hold of it and smiled softly.
"Thanks, Dark." I mumbled and he just gave me a sly wink.

"So..  what- Is this like- something you just do now?" I asked as I turned to look at him walking to my bed to sit on it. He was dressed in a black tee and boxers which clinged to his very toned, yet pale body.
"What?" He asked concerned, looking back at me as he sat down.
"Cooking everyday." I replied as I trotted over to take a seat next to him.

"I- I mean- if you don't mind." He stated and I shook my head quickly.
"Of course I don't mind! I just- wanted to know why?" I muttered and he stayed silent for a moment before responding.
"I- I just like to cook. It's like a- h-hobby??" He spoke, his tone raising near the end of his sentence as if he wasn't sure what word to use.
"Yes. Hobby." I helped him out.
"Yeah. It's a hobby I picked up when coming to Earth." He spoke and it made me remember that I still don't know who he really is and where he's from. That unsettling feeling came back.

"You will know when it's time." He spoke abruptly, his tone a bit colder than before.
"Dark- I-" I began to come up with a rebuttal, but he quickly interrupted.
"-I don't mean to make you uncomfortable, but I'm keeping it silent for a very important reason..."
"Well, could you not read my mind for two minutes!" I spat out with frustration.

He raised his brow at me as I abruptly stood up. He blinked a few times, averting his eyes from mine, realizing that he made me a bit upset.
"I-I'm sorry. I promised I wouldn't do that, sorry for betraying your trust." He apologized as he focused his eyes back into mine. I felt a bit weak once making eye contact again.

"S-stop." I spoke weakly as I felt the very energy drain from my bones.
"Stop doing that thing, Dark!" I croaked and he looked at me confused.
"I- I'm not doing anything-" he spoke until I started to feel very light headed, my vision spinning and getting darker.
He shot up from his seat on my bed, running over to me.
"Y/n!? Y/n, are you okay!?" He screamed as he ran to my side prepared to help me. My vision blacked and I instantly felt faint, my limbs going weak as I crashed into his arms.

🤍🖤🤍

I woke up in a hospital bed, the room very white and blinding me. My gown was still on me, however, I was wearing a coat now.
"Wh- what the fuck?" I groaned as I took in my surroundings.
"It's fine, I'm here. Take it easy." Dark insisted as he stood up, walking to my side.
"You'll be fine. You were just dehydrated, the doctor said." He explained and I just let my head fall back on my pillows with a huff.

"That was it?" I asked annoyed.
Dark gave me a side glance.
"I thought my wish for death was finally granted." I spoke with a playful giggle and Dark just let out a scoff.
"Don't say that." He groaned before leaning very very close to my ear, his breath fanning my neck.
"I know you don't really feel that way-" he growled deeply and I flinched at the sudden change in his voice.
"Oh my God!" I giggled as I glared at him and he laughed in return.

"You freak." I scoffed at him as I turned to look away, he chuckled as he leaned against my bed.
"Only if you want me to be." He spoke very sensually and my jaw dropped as I snapped my head around to glare at him again.
"Gross." I giggled and he gave me a smirk, a big one.

It's even worse that he is so sexy.
No. Don't think shit like that. Ew!

Dark raised a brow.
"Don't fucking read my mind please." I groaned as I looked away. He inhaled his lips as he lifted off of my bed.
"Yep- I- yeah, of course!" He stuttered as he stepped back awkwardly.
Great. I made it awkward with my own thoughts, a new level of low.

🖤🤍🖤

After a long while at the doctor's office, we finally made it home. The doctor's basically told me to just drink a lot of fluids and rest.

Dark swore up and down that he will be the best caretaker ever. I don't know why, but I felt like that would be a bad idea, but I didn't reject it.

"You should lay down okay." Dark stated after we got inside.
"I'll get you a bottle of orange juice out of the fridge." He stated and I sighed inwardly.
"You don't have to do all of that, Dark." I groaned and shook his head.
"I insist. You have to get back to optimum health, and I'm going to make sure that you do." He insisted as he left for the kitchen. I rolled my eyes as I sat on my bed, swinging my legs around so I could lay down.

He brought me a bottle of orange juice, opening it for me. I grabbed it and immediately started drinking.
He stared at me in awe as I gulped down the liquid.
"Wh- what!?" I asked after swallowing what I had in my mouth.
"Nothing." He spoke as he looked away.
"Please rest." He spoke before his eyes were engulfed in blackness like they did when I first met him.
"I have to go do something real quick." He muttered quickly.
"Wait! Da-" before I could call out to him, he had already vanished in a cloud of black smoke.

I huffed as I waited.
He'll be back I'm sure.
However, I wasn't too sure of it when the sun began to disappear and the sky became black.
Maybe he'll be back tomorrow...

I thought to myself. Then I scoffed to myself.
How could I get so attached to this man, -er thing. I don't even know him like talking about it. I hardly know anything about him at all.

And that's scary, but I still want him around...

And it haunts me.

Next part coming soon.
