When I said I had a bad hunch about this whole situation of Alec teaching me, I wasn't wrong.
The guy flips his personality while teaching.
For every question I got wrong he would lightly hit my wrist. Do I need to say more? Of course not. He was scarier than Medusa while teaching. I, for once would even prefer looking into Medusa's eyes.
Then why was I still sitting here? Why did I even put up with it?
Because for every right answer I got, he would ruffle my hair softly and praise me. Making me feel proud and good about myself.
"Uh huh. You got it wrong again. This is the last topic for today and I really want you to get it right." He said shaking his head at me.
Slowly, I put my wrist forward. He had a pencil between his mouth as he looked at my hand with a confused expression.
No, he doesn't get to give that confused expression after hitting me (even though lightly) on my wrist for a total of fifteen times.
He smiled through the pencil still between his teeth. Taking it out he put it aside while turning to look at me.
"Just hurry up." I said rolling my eyes, still holding my wrist out for him.
He had a mischievous glint in his eyes as he took hold of my wrist with one hand and readied his other hand to hit lightly. I couldn't help but close my eyes as I waited for him.
Ten seconds passed but nothing came. Not sure, I slightly opened my eyes to find Alec looking at me amusingly with his sky blue eyes. There was a soft smile on his face as he brought his raised hand down and just touched my wrist lightly. As light as a feather.
I opened my mouth to say something but he cut me off, "Get it wrong this time, and I won't go easy on you."
I couldn't help but laugh as he let go off my wrist and handed me the question again. There he was, the Alec who's teaching me.
I took the notebook from him and tried solving the question again. After five minutes, I handed him the notebook back.
He examined it, to check if there were any mistakes. I looked at him nervously as he continued running his eyes across the page.
It was only natural of me to be nervous after the last time when I got the question wrong.
I bit my lip nervously as I saw him closing the notebook and closing his eyes momentarily. What? Did I get it wrong or what? I was pretty sure I did it correct this time though.
When he opened his eyes again, he handed me the notebook back. I continued looking at him expectantly as he continued avoiding saying anything.
I swear to god if this guy doesn't utter a word in the next few seconds I will feed him chilly powder.
"Spit it out already." I said impatiently.
He looked at me without any emotion on his face without breaking into a huge grin, "We are finally done for today's class. You did great! We will try doing the next concept tomorrow."
T-tomorrow? I shook my head abruptly at him.
"I am pretty sure I have someone else who will help me with my studies." I tried laughing but failing miserably.
He shook his head with a satisfied face, "No. No. No. Serenity Halls, I am the one who is helping you with your studies now. I took it in my hands the second you agreed to do this project with me."
Is this his way of making me regret choosing him as a partner? Because if it was, it was working perfectly great.
"Now," he said getting up, "would you like anything to eat? Since we are done, anything you would like to do? Or go home?"
Taking the notebook in my hands I stood up, "I would like to go home but not before doing this." I smiled.
He looked at me confused before realising what was happening. I hit his shoulder with the notebook in my hands.
He tried covering himself as I continued hitting him with the notebook. He tried running away but it only ended up in me running after him.
I really appreciate the way he ruffled my hair and praised me whenever I got the answer right but I am not forgetting the violence he used either.
"What are you doing?" He asked huffing for air as he ran circles around the couch with me tailing behind him.
"Fifteen times. Fifteen was the amount of times you hit me on my wrist." I said still trying to catch him up, "We are done for today, right? It is only fair that I return the favour to you with fifteen hits."
"It's not my fault that you got it wrong fifteen times! Just try not to make so many mistakes next time!" He said stopping and holding his hand out to me.
I stopped at some distance trying to catch my breath too, "Of course, I will do that. But I am a woman who gives what she gets. So get here without trying to run away!" I demanded.
I could see him gulping as he ran his hands through his blonde hair and slowly walking towards me.
"Is this how it is going to be?" He asked.
I nodded subtly, "This is how it's going to be."
"Every time?"
"Every time." I smirked, " I won't stop you during the time you teach me but after that? You are getting it returned."
He stopped in front of me readying himself for the hits which were about to be thrown his way.
"But for every right answer you gave I praised and ruffled your hair too." He tried reasoning.
I denied adamantly. The only thing he gets are the hits from me. So what if he praised? Doesn't change the fact that he wasn't strict. And it's only fair for me to return his favour after the study session.
"Yes. But that's not what we are talking about right now, are we? So just come here already and let's get it over with quickly." I said readying myself to hit him.
Who was the Medusa now, huh?
