Chapter 14: Fact and Fiction
“Saya.” Logan growled, rolling his eyes and trying to push her away.
“Sir.” She purred, wrapping her arms around his neck and pressing herself against him.
Logan groaned as their lips crashed together again, the taste of the chocolate Saya had just eaten blending deliciously with flavor of freshly ground coffee.
They were going to be late again if she kept this up.
He thought for a minute, balancing his options. Did he really care if they were a little late again today?
He felt one of her flawless legs slide up his leg and hook on his waist and he groaned again. No, he decided, he really didn’t.
He uttered a low, deep growl and pushed her back up against the nearest wall, brushing her skin with the back of his hand lightly. Starting at her cheek and working his way down to the calf that was still perched precariously on his hip.
Saya sighed and leaned into the touch, her eyes closing blissfully.
Yes, school could defiantly wait.
...
“Mr. Howlett?” Logan scowled and waved his hand dismissively.
“Go away.” He muttered, pulling his hood over his head and closing his eyes more tightly.
“But Sir-” The voice said again.
“Shhhh.” Logan said, putting his figure to his lips and looking up at the kid before allowing his head to fall back onto the desk.
“But-”
“Shh!” Logan insisted, glaring at his student.
“Good dreams?” Someone whispered in his ear. Logan’s head shot up and he cursed under his breath. He knew that voice.
“Ms. Langston.” Logan said smoothly, getting to his feet and nodding at the woman.
“Hello Mr. Howlett,” She said smiling at him in a way that was slightly unnerving.
“Having a good nap?”
“Yes actually I was,” Logan said, smirking at the woman and leaning back against his desk casually. “There was the most beautiful girl it in...”
“Oh I’m sure.” Ms. Langston said, placing her hand on her hip and glancing over his shoulder at Saya. Logan glanced over his shoulder too, following her gaze and grinned, tossing Saya a wink before looking back at his new boss.
“And to what do I owe the pleasure Ma’am?” He asked, bowing dramatically and making as if tip his imaginary hat to her. The woman smirked and raised a delicate eyebrow.
“I was wondering if you were here for this morning’s assembly?” She said.
“No I’m sorry, I must have missed it.” He replied, putting together the best imitation of childish innocence that he could muster. The woman snorted and rolled her eyes, placing a stack of pamphlets and some hand-outs on his desk.
“Well then you might want to read over those before any of your students start asking you questions about it.” She said, turning and sauntering out of the room. Logan raised an eyebrow as the door closed behind her and he turned to his class.
“So,” He said grinning at his students with impish amusement. “What did they talk about at the assembly today?”
“We’re going on a trip to Argentina!” A girl said excitedly, waving her hand in the air.
“For winter break!” A boy added.
“Oh,” Logan said, running his hand through his hair. “Is that all?”
The class murmured and Logan shrugged, turning the lights back off and pressing the play button on the remote.
“In that case keep watching the movie,” He yawned. “I’m gonna go back to sleep.”
