I went to the noodle shop near the boarding houses alone since I was hungry and ordered one large bowl for myself. I pulled my chopsticks apart and started putting the ramen in my mouth.
Within ten minutes, I finished the entire bowl, paid for my food, thanked them, and left.
I walked back slowly, looking at the sea. It's not everyday that I get to see the sea so I have to enjoy the view while I can. There aren't much in Seoul. The only place I've been to for a school trip that has a sea is Busan (and here, of course) I took out my phone, checking it for messages. It was already 9 o'clock. Had I stayed out that late?
I let out a sigh and started walking faster, heading straight to our boarding house and to my room, shutting the door closed behind me and locking it.
Four days in Jeju-do passed by fast. Every day, I'd hang out with Eunji (when I got her to leave her room) or Woohyun and his girlfriend. On our last day, which was today, I was with the three of them.
"Woohyun, we don't need to see any more of your hearts." Eunji sighed before turning to MiJoo. "How can you stand him, MiJoo? He's so greasy I cringe every time!"
"I've gotten used to it," MiJoo replied. "He's greasy slash cheesy, but he's still lovable,"
"I will never understand lovers," Eunji shook her head.I don't, either. But I don't understand how people can be so cruel to use people for their own benefits. How can they? Don't they think of the other's feelings?
And yes, I'm thinking about Choi Youngjae.
I stood up all of a sudden, causing them to look at me.
"You okay?" Woohyun questioned.
"I'll go first," I answered. They didn't say anything and I just walked from them. I walked back to the boarding house, not knowing where to go, and heading down to the beach, like our first night here.
I stared at the sea, covering part of my eyes because of the bright sunlight. I took the hair tie from my wrist and pulled my hair, tying it in a high ponytail. The breeze blew, after all, it was April. It was still spring, but the sun was already bright, like summer.
My hand goes, my hand keeps going
Whenever I see you, my hand keeps going to you
Without even knowing, my hand goes to you,
I can't take it anymore - Stop smiling so brightly
To your pretty hands, hair, waist
My hand goesFrom a distance, I could hear someone singing. I knew that voice well enough to know who it was. Choi Youngjae. I really loved his voice. It was sweet. I looked around. Where was he? I was still listening when he stopped singing. I let out a sigh.
"Were you listening, artist girl?"
Since when was he standing behind me? I turned around to look at him and nodded. He nodded slowly and went to stand beside me. We hadn't talked since I left him on the first night, and I doubt today will get any better.
"What have you been doing these past three days?"
"Sketching. Hanging out with my friends." I answered.
"Who were you sketching?"
"Well... It wasn't you,"He looked straight at me.
"Artist girl,"
His voice was still soft, but it had gotten louder compared to three days ago.
"Don't call me that, Youngjae-ssi. I have a name."
"Park Chorong..."I raised my eyebrows, waiting for him to continue.
"It's the last day in Jeju-do. Can I see your sketchbook?"
I let out a sigh before turning around, motioning for him to follow me, and heading to my room at the boarding house. I looked back every few times to make sure he was following me. He even followed me inside my room... He sat down on the bed, scanning the pages of my sketchbook.
