Ever since the week Jackson left, I'd been spending so much time with BamBam, keeping him company. The six had sort of split up for a while. BamBam was always with me. Youngjae stayed locked inside his room, and we couldn't contact the other four at all. Their phones would ring but they wouldn't pick up.
"Thanks for being here with me again," he smiled weakly, taking a sip from his latte.
"Don't mention it. You're the only one who's actually social these days ever since he left."
"I thought about it at night and I realized I can't shut up forever. He'll come back eventually. So while he's away, I'm going to live my life normally. I don't think he'd like it if he found out we're sitting here, depressed and not talking to each other."I didn't say anything. I drank from my frappe.
"Isn't he contacting you?"
"He doesn't go on SNS much. Only sometimes,"I nodded slowly.
He'd gotten much better over the past few days. The day after he left, he was seriously quiet, the complete opposite of his normal self. As days passed, he'd gotten better, speaking more and more. Now, he was halfway back to his normal self.
We took turns comforting each other. I was much closer to my normal self than he was, seeing that me and Jackson weren't close. But still. I missed the crazy dude.
He let out a sigh and stared into space.
"Hey, Chorong,"
"Yeah?"
"I bet you know Youngjae was with Ah Yeon this past week,"
"What's your point?"He fixed his eyes on me, staring intently.
"Are you okay with that?"
"Of course I am. They're just friends-"
"Remember, Park Chorong. She. Wants. Him. Back."I sighed. Him telling me that over and over again... He doesn't need to. I remember it clearly. She wants him back. Okay. She can have him. It's not like anyone's stopping her.
But you cried when you saw them hugging, a voice said in my head. I hit my head lightly, causing him to chuckle.
"What's going on in that head of yours?"
"Nothing," I shook my head, drinking from my frappe. He laughed softly and did the same with his latte.
"Can I ask you something quite personal?"I nodded, motioning him to ask.
"Do you like Youngjae? Even just a little bit?"
I honestly wish they'd stop asking me that. Because even me, myself... Even I don't know if I like him or not. Sure, he's nice, he's good looking, he's talented, he's crazy. Well... All seven of them are crazy, but Youngjae's different.
"Honestly, BamBam. I do like him. It's hard to describe, but when I see him, I feel something different, and when I see him with other girls, I just want to run away and avoid him," I admitted.
"When you see him with Ah Yeon, you mean," he mumbled.I didn't say anything to that.
"Why are we talking about this anyway? Wasn't this supposed to be about you guys? Not me and Youngjae?"
"Judging how Jackson specifically asked for you and how Youngjae brings you to the club, you're with us now. You're a part of our family now."I don't know what to say. BamBam's words can always make me want to cry. The way he speaks and his choice of words is touching.
"I'm not that close with the rest..."
"Still. Once you hang out with us and the guys start looking for you, you're technically part of us already,"
"I don't think I should be counted as part of your-"
"Nonsense. I'm sure the others would agree with me,"I sighed. I knew it would be useless to argue. They had always been a stubborn group, all of them. Once they set their mind to something, you can't change it anymore. You'd have to accept it.
