When Love Goes Wrong

Chapter Sixteen: Drama...drama...drama...

Adeen slammed her head down on the table. Jade sat beside her with her legs crossed, patting her on the back, trying to comfort her older sister. Those two were inseparable from each other. Ever since they reunited and Jade movedd into Avengers Mansion, they were always seen together. They never got bored of each other and were always laughing or smiling. It was as if they had never been separated frome ach other for years. Everything seemed normal. Now the sisters sat side by side along with Pepper and Natasha as Janet explained Hank's behavior towards Bruce. So far, it didn't sound good and that was bad for Adeen. Hank was her best friend and he hated Bruce over something so insignificant...so little...how was she going to survive this engagement when her two best friends couldn't get along? She had thought the drama had stopped for her. She thought it was over She guessed wrong. Plus, to make matters worse, her little sister was flirting with Steve and Clint at the same time. Adeen was beginning to think it was a curse. She really didn't want this for her sister and she didn't approve of Clint either but her sister was old enough to make her own decisions. If she wants to date Clint, whatever, she would support her sister through thick and thin, no matter what. Even if she personally felt Steve was a better choice for Jade and considering they were technically the same age, she was going to support her baby sister.

Adeen sat up and ran her hand through her bushy brown looks. Her glasses were askew upon her face, making the girls giggle a little. She quickly fixed her glasses upon her face, pushing them back on her nose. She folded her arms across her chest and slumped low in her chair. All this new drama shit was bringing down her happiness She should be happy right now. She was marrying the man of her dreams. But Adeen knew it was all too good to be true. Something had to come and blow up in her face again. Adeen just wanted a day or two without all the drama and chaos. She yearned for just one silent, relaxing day, but due to her job, that was impossible...especially when you consider whom her friends are. Adeen sighed and closed her eyes, pinching the bridge of her nose with her thumb and index finger, a very severe headache was coming on. Adeen only got headaches when she was reading too many emotions at the same time, or when drama and/or stress were involved. In this case, it was option number two. Natasha learned against the counter with her arms folded, trying to comprehend what Janet just told them. She looked at her with a serious yet baffled expression upon her flawless face. 

"Okay, so you are telling me, that Dr. Pym is jealous of Bruce..because Fury picked him over him...and he's pissed off because of it?" Natasha asked slowly, making sure she didn't miss any major or minor details.

"Yeah, basically that sums everything up..." Janet answered her, sitting on one of the bar stools at the kitchen counter in between Jade and Pepper.

"Okay, I'm sorry ifthis offends anybody who's friends with him but he really needs to get over it...I mean, sorry he wasn't chosen but he's cluesless about Gamma radiation for one thing and Bruce totally kicked Loki's ass during the btlle." Pepper truthfully added to the conversation, resting her head on her hands.

"Oh, you aren't offending anyone. Adeen and I complain about him all the time. No big deal. I totallly agree with what you are saying also. It just really pissed me off because he promised to be nice about it but did he? No..."

"I'm guessing you and Hank are an item?" Jade asked, playing with a strand of Adeen's hair.

"Yeah, we are together...he's just beena cting like an ass isince he wasn't chosen and it pisses me off...I'm reallly sorry he made you and Bruce's evening Hell..."

Adeen had been silent the whole time. Now she was staring at her left hand, twirling her ring around on its position on her ring finger. She was very focused on it, beginning to stare into space. Her mind was wandering in other worlds inside her head. She slowly looked up at Janet and weakly smiled up at her. She shook her head slightly, chuckling softly.
