Safe place (Markhyuck)

"Ok, talk." Jeno says as he hands Mark a cup of coffee.
" I hate coffee." He grumbles as Jeno stares him down. He sighs and looks away.
"I don't want to talk about it." Jeno sighs and sits on the end of his bed.
"Mark, I want to be here for you but I can't if you don't let me." He slaps his foot and stands then walks to the door but stops when Mark speaks up.

"I wasn't trying, but I found someone that I really like Jeno, like a lot but I think he rejected me and I just don't know what to do." He puts his face in his hands. Jeno stops and watches Mark lay back down so he gets into bed with him and cuddles him.
"Remember when we were little and we would watch scary movies together like this?" Mark giggles, at least until his head hurts. He cuddles into Jeno's side and of course Jaemin chooses to walk in and take a picture of how cute they are.
"How are you feeling Mark?" Jaemin asks softly as he presses send to the one and only Haechan. He giggles to himself knowing that Haechan will love to tease Jeno about this.

"I've been better, I'm sorry for ruining your weekend. I can find another place to crash today, like a hotel or whatever." Jaemin smiles softly and ruffles his hair.
"No, you stay. We had an amazing Friday afternoon and Saturday was even more so. Honestly I couldn't have more sex if I wanted to." Him and Jeno laugh as Mark's face scrunches.

"You guys are relentless aren't you?" Jaemin chuckles and lies down on his other side, hugging him.
"I don't know what happened but anyone would be lucky to have you. You are a good guy, and I feel like there is another layer to you that even I don't know that's equally, if not more good." He then stands so he can make some breakfast.
"I'll get the food ready, you guys just stay here and cuddle." He giggles and walks out, leaving the other two in an awkward silence.

"So do  you want to tell me who he is?" Mark stays silent for a moment as he curls to his side and faces Jeno.
"How about I tell you what he's like instead." Jeno smiles softly and nods.
"He's beautiful, his smile takes my breath away. When I looked in his eyes the first time I thought I had died. He's sweet, his heart is so big but he doesn't seem to have the ability to accept just anyone. He's smart, in school at the moment so yes he's younger than me. He's so funny, he makes me laugh a lot. He's like a baby deer at times, so cute and trusting. He will look at me with wide eyes in disbelief about something and my heart stops. He's also really sad, I try to help him and I know I can't do it for him but I just try to be there for him you know?" Jeno nods, he has tears in his eyes as he watches his cousins face show just how much he cares for this person.

"So what happened?" Mark bites his lip.
"I told him that I like him and want to date him and he said it wasn't possible and I don't know, I think it made him really uncomfortable. The look on his face though was, I don't know I just could tell I fucked up." Jeno sighs and rubs his back.
"I'm still his friend first though so now that I've had my breakdown I have to put it behind me." Jaemin walks in with breakfast and pain killers, which Mark shoved in first.
"Thank you guys for taking care of me." Jaemin smiles happily.
"That's what family is for."

Haechan yawns and stretches, but he has to lay there and think about the day before. It was almost surreal how everything turned out. He looks around and sees that he is in the guest room so of course it actually happened.
After crawling out of bed he goes out to find his dad cooking him breakfast and smiles. It feels so family like that he can picture his mother running through the door with some ingredients that they were out of, which would be why his dad was cooking in the first place.
"Good morning." He says softly. Mr Lee turns and walks up to hug him, he won't miss a chance now that he has him back again.

"Good morning son, are you feeling better?" He shrugs and looks down just in time to notice his phone light up on the table and opens the text. He tries to hold it back but the tears find their way out when he sees the picture and reads the text. It was the picture of Jeno cuddling Mark. The caption is what gets him though. It says, "someone broke him". Mr Lee walks up behind him offering his arms again which Haechan willingly accepts.
"Thank you, I'm glad I called you. I don't know what to do? Look at him." He holds the phone so he can see the picture.
"You only have to go with your heart, if you feel it? Go for it. If you don't then don't and if you are not sure just tell him. It looks to me like he cares a lot about you and I'm sure he'd wait." Haechan looks up with hopeful eyes.
"Do you really think so? I like him a lot but I want to be better, for me." Mr Lee nods while smiling big.

"So is this going to be a thing now?" Haechan looks up confused.
"Us? Like are we ok? Can I come and see you whenever?" Haechan smiles and hugs him.
"Maybe text first in case Mark is here but yeah. I didn't realize how much I missed you until last night when I saw your face." Mr Lee hugs him one more time before leading him to the table to eat. This certainly isn't how he expected his Sunday to go but it is definitely a turn of events that he is ok with.

After spending too long blaming him for not protecting her he realized a while ago that there wasn't anything he could have done. Now they can spend some time making up for what they lost and Haechan is feeling a little more confident every day. Especially when the man he blamed for his mother's death still loves him enough to come and take care of him like this.
They spend the rest of the day happily getting to know each other again. They play a few board games and drink a few beers.

Haechan never expected that him, telling his dad that he loves him would cause a big time CEO of a company weep but anything can happen.
"Have a safe drive, love you." He shouts from the front steps at Mr Lee as he waves from the road.
When he gets back inside he opens his phone and looks at the picture again, it still breaks his heart.

Haechan: When can I see you again?

He texts simply to Mark, hoping he will get a response. He shuts his phone off and goes to take a shower before bed. He really hopes Mark will be back soon.
