Safe place (Markhyuck)

Now that the day has come Haechan is feeling his nerves spike. He wakes up early to ready himself and even takes an anxiety pill already so that he can do this. He really wants to do this, he knows that if he can be ok after Mark and him were attacked then going to his father's office should be a piece of cake.

Mark and Renjun are already at work when Jeno and Jaemin come to escort him. Mark had made arrangements for his guests and cleared them to get guest passes with minimal hassle. Everyone who has a role in this is ready to go and so proud to help with this. Of course when Doyoung learned who Haechan's father was and what his job was he had an internal panic attack but Mark reassured him that everything would be fine.

Haechan leaves his home just fine, he gets into Jeno's car which is not really a new experience. At first he tries not to look around but when he finally does it's like this euphoric, freeing feeling. He notices old houses with chipping paint, new houses with perfect lawns. He sees people and dogs going on about their lives not even concerned with him at all. He decides that he doesn't need to be concerned with them either.
He wipes the tears that start falling as Jaemin starts to panic that he is not ok.

"I'm fine, I'm so happy. This is so amazing, thank you guys." They both smile proudly.
When they get to the parking garage it's a little scarier but he tells himself that his friends and His boyfriend do this almost every day and everything is fine.

Mark is a nervous wreck, forget work. He wanted so much to help with this process, to be by his side the whole way but he also realizes he needs others for support too, so he let it go but he can't handle this.

When he finally gets a text from Haechan that they are in the elevator he is elated. He practically runs out of his office right by Taeyong's desk and Renjun as well. He stands anxiously in the elevator bay and waits. When it finally stops he readies himself.
He sees Haechan's bright smiling face and welcomes him quickly into his arms. Everyone in the office area has by now heard their story so that's why there isn't a dry eye in the room. He holds him tight by the waist as Haechan's arms are around his neck.
"I love you baby, I'm so proud." Haechan can only nod as he's trying to keep his tears to a minimum.

Mark seemingly forgets there are people all over and deeply kisses him until Doyoung clears his throat.
"Are you going to introduce me to the boy who is going to get me fired today or not?" He asks with clear sarcasm. Both Mark and Haechan giggle. Mark introduces him to everyone, he gets a special hug from Renjun who then goes to greet his own boyfriends. He goes into Mark's area of the office and gets a tour of the small space, it makes him giddy that he gets to see where his boyfriend works. He greets all of his friends he's met previously, and smiles brightly and waves at the shy person who just walked in. Taeyong had left his desk momentarily and didn't get introduced yet, Haechan can tell already that he loves him.

"Oh yes Haechan, this is Taeyong he is our lovely hard working receptionist." Mark gushes and Haechan walks up and is quite surprised by the squeal and the hug he is presented with but he will definitely take it.
"I have heard so much about you and I think you are so so brave, especially after what happened to you and Mark. Your dad will be so proud too." Haechan giggles, his happiness is through the roof at the moment.

After they all settle down it's time to go to work, Haechan already texted his dad in the morning confirming their lunch date at his house this morning. Now that it's close Doyoung has to call the CEO and tell him there is an emergency.
"I'm sorry to disturb you sir but we need you down in advertising, global star is pulling out, apparently they don't like the designs and I don't know what to do." He holds his breath as he feels like he just signed his own pink slip.
"Just send me a picture of the design so I can check it out and I'll call them later, I really don't have time to deal with this." Doyoung nervously clears his throat.
"They are here already sir, they won't leave until they talk to you." He can hear Mr. Lee sigh in defeat and almost feels horrible.
