The pain on my abdominal wakes me up, severe pain attacks me that has my knees curling on my chest, period pain doesn't begin to describe what am feeling, my hand returns back with blood after feeling wet between there i widen my eyes before pushing the blankets off me ,my worst nightmare comes to light.

"Shaka" i shout his name a couple of times before he rubs his eyes off some sleep walking to the room he has locked himself in the guest room.

"What" he asked before his eyes too widen coming to the bed, my body is shaking in fear and pain , his hands touching me everywhere panicking "are you okay, what happened, did someone come in here" he asked as tears roll out of my eyes , am unable to talk because of the lump on my throat and the pain that has me clunching my stomach ,his hands wrap themselves around me picking me up ,he half runs to the car before driving off , i cant utter anything but my mouth keeps mumbling my baby, i know i haven't even known him/her for that long or i didn't want a child but i couldn't lose him/her, i couldn't lose this child that would bring happiness. Arriving towards the hospital we were attended immediately as they wheeled me inside ,he was walking up and down making me frustrated and dizzy , i clunch my stomach crying silently before the doctor finally entered the doors.

"I apologies today things are pretty hectic and we short staffed " he apologized while putting gloves on "what seems to be the matter" he asked.

"She is in pain and losing blood lots of blood " Shaka was the first to answer before standing still facing the doctor with that familiar threatening expression daring him.

"Doctor please save my child" i mumbled hoping he heard me ,pushing Shaka outside because of his shouting and cursing at how he is asking questions while he is a doctor like he should know.

"Mrs what cause these pain if i may ask" he says as the nurse puts IV on my hand , am getting frustrated too but i understand.

"I don't know i just woke up from my nap and i was in severe pain and the was blood lots of blood around me" i said shakingly he nodded before running few test, injecting me i felt my eyes getting heavier before slumber finally overtook me.

His soft lips came in contact with my hand as he softly brushes the back of my hand, my eyes struggle for few minutes opening before finally opening them up, i look around for a minute few remembering as i glance towards him ,i can feel the tears threatening to fall down but i hold it in ,the expression he has on his face is pity, regret and pain, he bites his lower lip forcing a smile.

"Are you okay" he asked his voice barely coming fully than normal , i nod my heard at him unable to open my mouth "let me get the doctor" he says standing up and returns with the doctor, who match his pity.

"Mrs Maphumulo" he says sighing loudly "my very apologies for your loss" he said i feel a sand on my throat drying every liquid on my mouth.

"What's the cause" i asked finally getting the courage to ask he dropped his shoulders immediately.

"You have what we call hormonal imbalance the reason why you lost the child, some women find it hard to conceive we have cleaned you up the bleeding will only last a day or two"he says i nod my head looking away from him before he left, Shaka plasters himself again next to me , he brushes my arm so gently.

"This is what I've been avoiding Ntokazi, this is the reason i didn't want you bonding with a child, everything in my life seems to be constantly falling apart happiness doesn't find me ,this is why i didn't want to put my hope in something that can never happen and you went right ahead, you got in my head and made me hopefully Liyana, you made me rethink just maybe i can be a better parent when i continuously told you we shouldn't keep the child look at us now" he said breathing harshly standing up to stand away from me.

"The is still a future , we still can..."he immediately shakes his head at me silencing me.

"No Liyana , No , no more children we not going to be walking back and forth , we continue with life" he says sternly
