It's been 4 years and 2 months, it is currently snowing outside. I looked outside the window of a patient's room and smiled. I wonder if I should make apple pie today. It's Diana's birthday today after all. She's turning 4 years old now, and I must say. She looks a lot like Grace. Today was March 25th. It's no surprise it's still snowing.
"Mieleanna, you can go home. I'll take over your shift." Lorna smiled, I shot her a confused look.
"No, it's alright! I just have to finish up. That's all." I smiled, Lorna nodded and smiled.
"Okay, don't stay here too late. Remember, people work night shifts too." She smiled, I nodded and waved her off.
"I'm alright, really." Shayla smiled, putting her shaky hands on top of mine as I continued to do a full check on her to see if any changes have changed.
"Sorry, Shayla but I have to do a full check on you before I can leave." I smiled, checking off a couple of boxes on the chart.
"Are you actually doing that though?" She smirked, I moved the chart away from me and placed it on the bed frame.
"Yes, in fact, I just finished. I'll see you tomorrow." I smiled. I waved her off and walked away passionately, trying not to scream my head off. Tomorrow is Grace's wedding! Then after that, two days later, it will be mine! I'm so excited.
I headed towards the dressing room and looked at my ring and smiled. I'm so delighted to meet a person like Caleb. In all honesty, I did not see myself getting here. I let out a smile. I'm actually really surprised that we got here. Especially everything we have been through.
I grabbed my clothes on the hanger and took off my uniform. I placed my name tag in a safe place and neatly folded my uniform. I can't believe I made it. I became a nurse! I feel so proud.

"Auntie Miel!" I watched as a little girl ran towards me with a huge smile. She jumped up and I picked her up.
"How are you doing Diana?" I smiled widely. She's literally a mini Grace. Boy, I must say their child is gorgeous. My god, she's gorgeous! She's going to have all the boys when she grows up. I can feel it. I looked towards Caleb who was talking with Jace. I wonder if Issac and Natalie have the time to get here. Natalie is busy being a cop and Issac is also a cop. What a coincidence. I laughed at the thought. Right, coincidence.
"Where's Natalie?" Grace asked, grabbing her daughter back with a wide smile.
"She should be com-"
"Hello, boys and girls!" We all looked towards the entrance to see Natalie posing oddly. We all laughed as she cut the act and headed towards us squealing. She gave Diana a big hug.
"You're turning four now!" She cheered, Diana jumped up and down as she nodded.
"You're getting so old!" Grace smiled, petting her head.
"Go to dada." Grace smiled as Diana obeyed. We watched as she jumped into Jace's lap with a small laugh. Jace looked at her happily as Caleb greeted her too.
"Okay, so we have the venue all set up. You wanted exactly one thousand, eight hundred, ninety two seats rights?" Natalie looked at her phone, we huddled around Natalie.
"Is that for my wedding or Miel's" Grace asked, looking at all the seats and where everything was placed.
"Yours." Grace nodded and nodded.
"Okay."
"Is the cake all ready? I asked the bakery to deliver it early tomorrow." I added onto the conversation, Natalie shrugged looking at her emails to see if the cake has been finished.
