Caleb. That kid. Does he know that not everything is all fun and games?
"You good?" I shook my head, Caleb needs to leave me alone.
"Do you want to get some ice cream?" I nodded and we drove to Hollow's Diner. There, I saw Caleb. I felt my heart drop. I don't know why but I felt it. Our eyes met, I could see pain and worry in his eyes. Then I saw no emotion. He's so hard to read. He looked away, vigorously. I looked at the ground and tried to process what was happening.
"Caleb's here." Grace whispered. I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever." I saw Grace look away, awkwardly. I could feel the tension. Right now wasn't the time. The only thing I could think about was my mom. I left all alone with that monster. With that demon. How was he let out? I'm so confused and worried right now.
"Yo, Williams!" A voice yelled, causing all eyes on the scene.
"Where's the money?" The man yelled.
Money?
"Look, Jones. Let's not do it here." Caleb whispered, narrowing his eyes. Jones, I feel like that sounds familiar. Very familiar.
They headed outside, I ran to the nearest window and watched them. Two men grabbed Caleb and began to drag him to the back. The leader of the two guys was chuckling. Oh no.
"Grace, stay here. I'll be right back." I commanded in a worried tone. We watched as Caleb got dragged out. I followed after.
"Miel-"
Before she could finish I was out the door. I don't care if I was injured. I'm here saving Caleb's life again, well actually this might be the first time. Money? That word, why does it keeps echoing in my head.
I began to hear groans and laughter. I ran to the back parking lot and stopped myself before they saw me. I stuck myself to the wall. He's being beat up. I felt the sudden urge to beat the shit out of them. I come out of hiding and took a deep breath.
"Hey shitheads!" I yelled, distracting them.
"What do you want?" One of the guys began walking towards me. I began to back away, slowly. Why did I do this again? Damn, I'm so scared for my life right now. You're welcome, Caleb! He better give me something in return after this, I swear to god if he doesn't-
