I quickly closed the door and ran back towards the fence. Making sure, I don't fall in the pool again. Fuck, my clothes in my backpack must've gotten wet too. My phone! I took it out of my soaking pocket and looked at it with sadness. I started lagging out and then finally shut down.

"You did good, little one." I faked a tear and placed it in my soaking pocket once again. I climbed the fence and ran towards the trees. Behind me, was one angry Caleb. Not going to lie, I was scared. Caleb is scary. I kept running until I made it into the trees. I hope Caleb doesn't get lost. I hid behind a tree and saw him run forward. I ran out of the trees and bushes and kept running until I got back to my car. The keys were still in it. That could've ended badly. Thank god for waterproof seats, am I right? I hoped in and drove to Grace's.

"Bitch, where were you? Why are you soaking wet?" Grace yelled. I stared at her and smiled.

"I'll explain everything later. Let me use your bathroom and your clothes." She nodded and waved me away. I ran upstairs and went towards her room. I got undressed and hopped in the shower.

After showering, I grabbed some of Grace's clothes and headed back downstairs. I grabbed my soaked backpack and my soaked clothes and placed them into the washer with some soap. Then I walked towards the kitchen.

"Damn, everything looks so good." I was about to place my finger in some of the desserts but then Natalie slapped my hand away.

"Did you buy the cake?" Jace looked at my empty hands.

"No, you didn't." He added. I stared at him with wide eyes filled with confusion.

"Was I suppose to?" I looked at all of them. Grace let out a sigh of frustration. Natalie facepalmed herself.

"I sent you a text." He pointed towards his phone and I rubbed the back of my neck.

"About that," I nervously laughed.

"So, I fell into a pool and my phone, you see, was in pocket and it broke." I nervously laughed.

"How did you fall-" Natalie spoke. Grace cut her off in frustration.

"Whatever, we don't have time for this. Someone text Cheryl and ask her how they are doing." Grace commanded. Jace raised his hand and said he would. I looked at all of them.

"Did anyone even bother to buy the guy a present?" They all looked at me and raged.

"Miel. You add too much stress, get out." Grace yelled, pushing me out. She opened the door and closed the door.

"Here's some money. Go buy him a million presents and then come back and wrap em or whatever. Make sure to make it look like we bought some for him too." Jace handed me his credit card and told me the pin.

"Don't waste all his money." Natalie smirked.

"Yeah. I worked hard for that much." Jace pouted. Grace rolled her eyes.

"Girl. Spend it all." Grace smiled.

"What did my parents," Before I could finish, Grace slammed the door in my face.

"Come over." I finished. I let out a sigh and remembered what I was wearing. I looked down at my outfit. This isn't what I would usually wear in public but I guess this is all we have.

I guess we are going to the mall in cookie monster sweats and a grey hoodie. I got in my car and drove off to the mall.

I looked around in my car and looked for anything to cover me. I was wearing a hoodie and cookie monster sweats. This is embarrassing. I took out sunglasses and put them on. I looked around and found Caleb's hat in my car. He barely wore hats but when we went camping, he brought one and must've forgot it. He didn't really like hats, I don't know why he wanted to bring it. I put it on.

I grabbed the card and put it in the sweatpants pocket, along with my car keys. I headed inside.

I started looking around. I saw there was a new boba stand that opened up. I went towards it and bought myself brown sugar milk tea with pearls. My favourite flavour. I continued walking on and stopped. I hid behind a wall. I almost ran into Cheryl, Caleb, and Issac. There were bandages on Caleb's face. I felt bad for him. I was in bad luck though, they stopped right in front of the wall I was hiding behind.

"Where is Miel?" Caleb whined. Cheryl sighed.

"She probably doesn't love you anymore bro." Issac joked and smirked.

"Shut up. You should be nice to me today. It's a special day, you know." He smiled proudly.

"What do you mean? It's a normal day." Caleb swung his head towards Caleb and sent him an offended look.

"Bruh, what do you mean, it's a normal day?" Caleb asked aggressively.

"I mean that it's a normal day."

"Then why are we at the mall?" Caleb smirked.

"Because I need to buy something for Natalie and I need your guys help." Issac smiled, crossing his arms.

"Now, where should we begin?" Issac added. I watched as Caleb looked towards the ground. It's working!

"Yes!" I accidentally. I took a sip of my boba and began to walk away from the wall.

"Hold up. That voice sounded familiar. Did you guys hear that?" I choked on a pearl. Fuck. I didn't mean to say that outloud.

I began to speed walk and ran onto an escalator. I looked down and watched his reaction.

"Hear what?" Cheryl asked, looking up. She looked me in the eyes through my sunglasses and motioned me to leave. I nodded and looked away.

"Must've been some kid." Issac suggested. Caleb shrugged and they walked away.

I let out a sigh of relief and waited until I got to the top. I got off and looked around. Still sipping my boba. I finally found a shop and bought Caleb some shirts. I exited the store and looked around. He really was a hard person to impress. I don't know what to get him.

I got many looks from people. I never felt so judged in my life. I continued to walk. No one can rock this outfit like I can.

I walked into another store. I brought a couple of shirts again and then went into a another store. It was filled with video games and other things related to games. What the fuck should I get him? I took of my sunglasses to get a better look. I took sip of my boba and turned around to look at more items.

"Miel?"
