"Hey, Zane!" I yelled from across the hall.
"Hey, Miel." He smiled.
"Are you free today, after school?" I asked, he happily nodded.
"This isn't a date or anything though. Just a time for us to know about each other." I corrected with a smile.
"Sure. I'll pick you up at 8:30?" I nodded and we headed to our classes.

I headed to the back alley and saw Caleb and his friends. Not this time. I rolled my eyes and walked back to the cafeteria. I took a deep breath before entering and looked around for an empty table. I plopped myself down and began eating. I put in my earbuds and zoned away. I didn't need Caleb. Fuck him. I slammed my clenched fists on the table and everyone turned to me. I looked up and saw all eyes of different shades and colour. Everyone turned away and began whispering. Looking back at me and their friends, back and forth. I continued eating and happily left. I still had 20 minutes left of lunch. I grabbed my books for my next class and stuffed it in my backpack. They're still red stains over my locker. I grabbed a couple of wet paper towels and tried to get it off. Caleb. Fucking douche bag.
"You good?" I turned around and met eyes with Grace.
"Grace?" I raised a brow, she's home schooled.
"What are you doing here?" I ask with excitement.
"My parents let me finally go to a real school!" She cheered, we were jumping up and down for quite some time though. Grace has been homeschooled since grade 2. I've always visited her until she moved to Australia. I didn't know she came back though.
"Anyways, did you already eat?" I nodded, she rubbed her belly.
"Wanna go get some boba?" I looked at the clock and shrugged. We ran towards the boba place that was near by and walked back happily once we got them.
Once we entered the school, I bumped shoulders with Caleb. I pushed him a little too hard and he lost his balance, causing him to fall. I rolled my eyes, he deserves that.
"Move it, dumbass. Look where your going next time." I smirked, and continued to walk away. Jace and Issac looked shocked then looked back at Caleb as they helped him up.

I looked at Miel one last time before the doors fully closed. That bitch.
"What's up with you two?" Jace asked, Issac popped his head and nodded.
"Yeah, you guys been hanging out for quite some time and then all a sudden your back hanging out with us." I shrugged.
"So? Nothing was ever happening with Miel and I. She's just another chick I'm planning to kiss and dump." Issac and Jace looked at each other with wide eyes. They told two emotions. They knew I was lying and guilt. Whatever. I wasn't lying.

I ran to my last class, Art. Surprisingly, Miel was there. I sat beside her but she quickly moved away and sat by Zane. They sat together right in front of me, while I sat alone. I wanted to punch Zane, this time killing him. He gets everything he wants, even girl. Now look, he's getting to Miel. He's not some victim, he's a fucking manipulator.
"Okay, class. Quiet down. Today we will be doing a partner project. So please partner up." The teacher smiled.
"Caleb Williams and Miel Adams, please report to the principal's office." The intercom bursted. I looked at Miel and bumped her shoulder causing her to fall. I speed walked to the office, beating Miel.
