Up to this point, I don't know what I'm doing here.

I'm here, getting along with the school's player. That's really rare, you know. I never really thought this would happen, to be honest.

We stepped into the restaurant and I looked around and spotted Jace and Issac. "Hey, guys." I smiled and popped a seat beside Issac.

"What were you guys just doing?" Jace glared at Caleb and I with a smirk.

I showed them my wrist and then they looked at Caleb's. "

"Woah, Caleb. You really want this girl." Jace muttered, his eyes wide with shock. I felt myself warm up once again. I shook at the thought. He's a player and I'm a dork. We'll never get along. Right? Plus I hate him anyways. Well, I think I do. I don't even know how we are getting along right now.

Caleb nudged Jace's arm and gave him a death glare.

"How may I help you guys today?" A waiter asked. I looked up to say my order.

"Grace?" I smiled, she looked at me confused then happy.

"Miel!" She smiled.

"So good seeing you again!" She smiled, I got up and gave her a hug. She was nice when I met her though, when you really get to meet her that's when the demon strikes. Funny, really.

"Yeah, you too." I gushed.

"What happened?" She pointed at my eye and lip.

"Just a fight." I shrugged, lifting up my shirt, revealing my injured abdomen.

"Ouch. We need to catch up, coffee later?" I nodded and she began doing her job that I distracted her from. Whoops.

"How may I help you, guys?" She smiled, I watched as Jace and Grace made googly eyes.

"Dork. What do you want?" Caleb interrupted me from my thoughts and I looked down at the menu.

"Milkshake and I don't know, a waffle." I shrugged, Caleb chuckled while looking down at the menu.

"I'll have the same thing." Caleb looked up and met with my eyes. Jeez, I could get lost in them. They were so pretty.

Jace and Issac ordered and Grace flashed a wink at Issac. You gotta be kidding me. I want to laugh so bad. Grace and Issac? For real? I looked at Jace who wasn't moving. Wasn't even speaking. He just looked so amused. As if he just fell in love. Love at first sight, I guess.

I took out my phone and looked at my messages. 8 missed calls and 10 messages from my mom. Holy moly.

"Here you go." Grace placed the food down but I didn't care. I looked at the word 'dad.' My mom is saying something about my dad. This can't be.

"Miel?" I heard my name but chose to ignore it, I couldn't feel my legs. My dad was coming back.

"Miel, you okay?" Grace asked, I looked up and shook my head. I got up and whispered the news. Her mouth dropped.

I watched as Miel told Grace something. It must've been something bad, due to Grace's face.

"Miel, you good?" I ask and she furrowed her brows.

"I have to go." She gets up and takes a sip of her milkshake. She pulled Grace's hand and they were out the door. She didn't even care that Grace was still on shift. It must've been very important.

"Do you guys know what's up?" I ask Issac and Jace, they shrugged. I couldn't help but wonder.

"Just eat your food. I'm sure it's nothing." Jace took a sip from his drink. I nodded. Maybe.

I got home and paced around in my bedroom. I step on a soft texture, looking down, I saw Miel's sweater and t-shirt. I stopped in my tracks and picked it up. She forgot to grab them. Great, now I have to give them to her. It looks like I just had a one night stand. I rubbed the back of my neck. Oh well, wouldn't be the first time.

My thoughts were interrupted by a ringtone. It was Jace.

"Yo." Jace said sternly to the phone.

"Wassup?" I ask, he told me bad news about Josh. I'm gonna fuck him up. This fucking jerk doesn't know when to stop.

"So, does that mean he's coming home?" I sipped my last drop of coffee and nodded.

"Grace, what do I do?" I panic, she began to think.

"You could come stay at my place? I could just let you borrow my car to get to school." She shrugged, suggesting all the ideas as I think.

"That's not a bad idea. Your home schooled, anyways." She nodded and I kept thinking.

"Will you come with me, so I can go pack?" She nodded and we were off to my house.

"I hope my dad isn't there yet." I tapped my foot.

Mom

Hey mom, is it okay if I stay at Grace's ? I don't feel like having to see dad..

Its fine honey, just hurry. He's coming soon.

I turned off my phone and we finally got to my house. Grace and I ran inside. I headed upstairs and Grace stayed downstairs to talk to my mom. Grace was my only friend left. I never really mention her because it's rare that I see her. I'm just glad she's here now. It's been a while.

I grabbed my suitcase and began to throw my clothes in it, not caring. I was struggling to zip it but I finally did. I grabbed my travelling backpack and stuffed all of my items like toothbrush, curler, straightener, makeup bag, everything that I thought I needed. I grabbed my things and ran downstairs.

"Be safe, girls." My mom smiled, giving me a kiss on the cheek.

Grace and I scurried to the car and plopped my things in the trunk. I saw a car pull up. My dad was here. Grace drove off and I felt instant regret for my mom. Stay safe, mom.
