"What was that all about?" Caleb walked up to me, raising his hands in the air.

"Nothing." I grunted, I felt bad doing this to him but now wasn't the time.

"Tell Mr Evens I'm skipping class." I rolled my eyes, I headed towards the exit.

"I'll come with. There's no way in heck I'm going to class without you." He muttered, I looked at him with shock. How sweet.

"Care to drive?" He asked, I put out my hand and he put the keys on my palm. We got into the car. It took me a while to adjust to his car but I got a hang of it.

I bursted my house's door and looked at my mom with confusion and furry mixed in one.

"Is there something your not telling me?" My mom looked shocked at first but then looked at the ground.

"I was going to tell you, Miel." She muttered, looking back up.

"I divorced with your dad and is marrying Kevin. Kevin Mckilnor." I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms.

"Which means your finally going to have a step sister." She cheered, I stared at her with grief.

"Um-"

"Caleb." Caleb smiled. My mom smiled back, walking towards him to give him a hug.

I stepped in front of Caleb before she could.

"Just so you think I'll be happy for you. Think again. I rather have dad beat me to tiny pieces then let you marry the father of a bitch." I scoffed, stomping my way up the stares.

"Mieleanna Marie Joy Adams!" My mother yelled, stomping the ground. It boomed through the whole house.

"You will not use the word of a female dog and you will be at the wedding with or without your permission!" She yelled, I rolled my eyes.

"You will be my maid of honour and your taking Caleb with you." She deepened her voice. It became dangerous and sad.

I couldn't deal with her right now. That would mean we would have to move. Not that far but into the richer part of town. I didn't belong there.

Miel ran up the stairs but then stopped when her mom began to yell. It kind of scared me.

"Sorry about that Caleb. You must feel awkward." She softly chuckled.

"It's okay." I smiled, Miel was now in her room, the slamming door booted throughout the house.

"Maid of honour?" I asked, she rubbed at her temples.

"Yes, she will get over this soon. I know it. She's just shock." She smiled, studying the stairs.

"Oh. I'll go talk to her." I sidedly smile, running up the stairs. Once I got to her room, it was awkward. I was kind of scared, to be honest.

"Miel. It's me." I whispered, she opened the door.

She knuckles were white and I could see the tears blocking her eyes.

"Miel-"

"Mieleanna! Get ready, we're going to visit the home we'll be moving too!" I looked down at the ground, I always get interrupted.

I could see that Miel was mumbling something as she put on a black leather jacket. She glared at me and headed down the stairs.
