Amber POV

After spending what seemed like hours with Jeff and getting all sorts of tips and knowledge from him I was on cloud nine.
The only other dream I had had was meeting him and Randy and made that come true.

I was starting to think that maybe I had been wrong about him but I wasn't going to let him win me over that easily, if he really wants to convince me he has to put in the work.

"So did you have a good morning" he asks grinning at me

"The best, thank you so much" I smile "it was really sweet of you to do this for me"

"Yes! I will happily take sweet over asshole anyday" he says fistpumping

"Hey one sweet gesture doesn't mean your not an asshole" I say fighting the urge to smile

"So tell me what do I have to do to get you to agree to a date with me?" He asks

"I'll make you a deal" I say "you show me that you are not an asshole and this wasn't a one off and maybe I will agree to a date"

"Oh come on surely I deserve more than a maybe" he says moving a little closer to me

"No I think maybe is good enough" I say "if you really want this date with me then maybe should be good enough for you"

"So how exactly do I show you when your here and I'm somewhere else?" He asks looking a little perplexed

"If you really want this date you'll find a way" I say hopping down off the hood of his car "now I have to go, I'll see you soon I hope, and thank you again" I say kissing his cheek before heading to my car.

Randy POV

As I watch her walk to her car I smile and shake my head, I'm not at all surprised that she is making me work for this. Now all I have to do is figure out how I'm going to pull this off.

As she gets in her car she waves at me before pulling away.  Tonight i head back to Tampa and it will be a few weeks before I'm back, one things for sure I'm going to miss her smart mouth and that smile.

I don't know what it is about her that's got me hooked, but I'm sure as hell going to find out.

Amber POV

"So what did he do to make it up to you"? Jess asks as we drive to the beach.

"He surprised me with Jeff Hardy" I smile

"For real? The Jeff Hardy?" She asks and I nod "oh my god, what is he like?"

"He's really cool" I say "he even helped me figure out what was wrong with my swanton"

"You got swanton lessons from the god?" She gasps "you are so lucky"

"Yeah it was a really sweet thing for Randy to do" I say trying not to smile

"You like him" she gasps "you like the viper"

"I do not" I laugh "he has a lot to prove to me before I'll like him"

"Well he likes you" she says "has he asked you out yet?"

"Yeah sort of, he asked what he need to do to get me to agree to a date" I explain

"And what did you say?" She asks

"That if he showed me he wasn't an asshole and today wasn't a one of then maybe I'd agree to a date" I say

"You're cruel you know that" she laughs "do you think he'll do it?"

"If he wants the date he will" I laugh

"It's all happening for you isn't it" she sighs "Randy's interested, you met Jeff, I suppose my turn will come"

"Hey enough of that, Randy noticed you too, he thinks your incredibly talented" I say and she smiles

"He does? Wow" she says

"Look if it bothers you that much I will turn Randy down ok" I say

"I appreciate that but I would never ask you to do that" she says "its clear you like him"

"I already said I don't" I laugh "not yet anyway"

Jess goes silent and I know this is bothering her more than she is letting on, I had never expected any of this to happen and I would never intentionally hurt my friend.
Anyway Randy goes back to Tampa tonight and it will be a few weeks before he comes back, more than enough time for him to forget about me and find some other girl to hit on.

"Hey I'm sorry, I never intended to upset you" I say "you and me against the world remember?"

"Yeah I know" she smiles "ignore me I'm just being silly"

"Look he's gone, let's forget about him and focus on our dream" I say

"Deal" she smiles "let's make that dream come true"
