It's Over?

Amber POV

Laying here in Randy's arms I felt at home and I felt complete, in a short amount of time this would all be over and Randy and I can finally just be happy.

My phone rings and I reach for it while Randy sleeps.

"Hello" I answer

"Amber it's time" Paul says "I'll see you shortly"

Ending the call I quietly get out of bed and start getting dressed.

"Where are you going?.......Jesus" Randy gasps running a hand down my back "they weren't kidding when they said you were bruised"

"It looks worse than it feels" I say as start to pull on my jeans, as I do so Randy begins to place gentle kisses on my back.

"Randy I've got to go, Paul called" I chuckle

"I'm coming with you" he says "like I said I'm not letting you out of my sight"

"Fine hurry up" I say as I finish getting ready.

We pull up to the arena and as we walk towards the backstage door Randy takes my hand, as we walk through the door we are greeted by Steph and Paul.

"Amber I'm so glad you're back" Steph says giving me a hug "and Randy it's nice to see you smiling"

"It's good to be back" I smile "and thank you for all your help"

"Thank me after the grand finale" she smiles "now I need you to wait outside my office out of view, did you bring the envelope?"

"Yeah it's right here" I say handing it over

"Perfect, let's get this over with" she says before heading tomher office

As Randy and I wait we see Jess going into Steph's office, shortly after the police surround the door.

"What the hell is going on?" Randy asks

"You'll see" I smile

Moments later the police enter the office and come out with Jess in handcuffs.

"You can't do this, I haven't done anything" she shouts

"Oh is that so" Steph says holding up a tape recorder and hitting play

"Oh it was easy, I knew Randy was her weakness and she would do anything to keep him safe. So I planned a series of accidents thinking she would get the hint and leave, when she didn't I sent her a note and photographs making it clear I wouldn't stop until he was dead unless she quit"

A look of horror fills Jess's face as he voice fills the arena.

"You see Jess you messed with a McMahon and no body gets away with that" Steph smirks

At the same time Randy and I step out from where we had been hiding.

"You bitch!" Jess screeches "you screwed me over again"

"No you screwed yourself over Jess" I snap

"Jessica Spears I'm arresting you for the attempted murder of Randal Keith Orton and Amber Hudson" the office says "and since we have the note, photos and a taped confession they'll be no need for a trial"

"Little bitch!" Randy growls and moves forward, I place my hands on his chest to stop him

"Randy don't"

"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't break her fucking neck" he says through clenched teeth

"Becuase the arena is crawling with cops and she's not worth it"  I say

"Fine" huffs and sits down on a crate

"Wait!" Jess shouts as they start to lead her away "I didn't do this alone I had help"

"We're going to need a name" the officer says

"Amber Hudson" she says and everyone looks at me

"Is this true?" Randy asks "I trusted you, damn it Amber I loved you and you were helping her?"

"Randy I swear I had nothing to do with it, she's lying" I say as an officer moves my hands around my back

"Do you have any evidence to prove that claim?" The officer asks and I shake my head turning my attention to Steph

"Steph I swear I had nothing to do with this" I say

"I know" she says "Don't worry we'll sort this out"

Randy POV

As they lead Amber away to a waiting police car I can hardly believe what's happened.
All this time I thought she loved me and really she wanted me dead.

She tricked me into feeling something for her, into loving her.

"Randy you don't believe this do you?" Steph asks me

"I don't know what to believe" I say "I mean she can't prove she wasn't involved"

"Damn it Randy, use your brain" she snaps "why would she push you out of harms way if she was trying to kill you? Why would she take a fall that was meant for you if she wanted you dead?"

"To fool me into thinking she loved me" I say

"Stupid Stupid Stupid man!" She shouts "when you've had time to process everything and you come to your senses come and find me"

"If you believe that girl doesn't love you, you're a damn fool" Paul says before they both walk away leaving me alone.

As I turn I see Jeff rushing down the corridor towards me

"Is she here? What's happened"? He asks

"You want to see her you'll have to go to the police station" I say

"What? Why"? He asks

"Because she was involved" I say raising my voice slightly "she was helping Jess"

"That's crazy, there's no way" he gasps "Randy you know this isn't true"

"I don't know shit anymore" I say walking away
