Amber POV

After several hours of trying I had found myself completely unable to sleep. The events of yesterday were still racing around in my mind and it hadn't gone unnoticed how close I had come to losing Randy.

That thought alone had scared me enough to reconsider our relationship status. Although I am still convinced that Jess will reappear and I still wanted to keep him safe, I was scared of losing him without ever having the chance to be with him properly.

Giving up on sleep I decide my time would be better spent working out in the gym, it would give me something to focus on and time to think things through.

When I get to the gym there is no one there, I'm completely alone hardly surprising since it's the early hours of the morning.
Laying out a yoga mat I begin the yoga warm ups that Drew had been kind enough to show me.

"Hey mind if I join you?"

"Hey Lex, no be my guest" I say as I stretch out my legs

"Everything alright?" she asks laying a mat out beside me

"Yeah why do you ask?" I ask confused

"You're never down this early" she says

"Oh I couldn't sleep is all" I shrug

"Right I heard about yesterday, I'm so glad your both ok" she smiles "did you really push him out of the way?"

"Thanks and yes I really did" I sigh

"Wow you must really care about him to do something like that" she says stretching out with me

"You wouldn't do the same thing for one of your friends?" I ask

"I wouldn't risk my life for some one unless I really cared about them" she says "or even loved them"

"I care about Randy alot" I say "He's my friend and he's been good to me"

"You know the gossips on the roster are saying you two are a thing" she says

"It's complicated" I sigh "but they really need to find something better to do with their time"

"You know if you ever want a woman's point of view you can always talk to me" she says and I smile

"Thanks Lexi" I say "I don't even know where to start, I'm sure you're aware of Jess"

"Oh yes we've all heard about her" she says a hint of disgust in her tone

I take a deep breath and explain everything to her about what happened with Jess, how she thought I was responsible for what Randy did and my fears about her not being gone.

"Ok I'm going to be honest and it's up to you what you do with it" she says "but you gave up so much to just to keep her happy, and I think in a way you are still doing that. What you need to do is make yourself happy, and if being with Randy will make you happy then do it"

"You know I agree with you" I say "but I just don't want her to use him to get to me, a don't want to lose him"

"Pardon the analogy but Randy is like a bad smell, not easily gotten rid of" she says and we both start laughing uncontrollably
"It's going to take a hell of alot to get rid of him, everyone can see he's crazy about you"

"We're that obvious huh?" I laugh

"Girl you two might as well have a neon sign above your heads saying in love" she laughs "its that obvious"

"Woah I'm not in love with him" I laugh "but I do like him alot"

After getting no response from Lexi I notice she is looking past me, when I turn I find Randy leaning against the wall smirking at me.

Randy POV

When I had entered the gym I had heard voices and found Amber and Alexa sitting on yoga mats talking, I was going to speak to them but I heard my name mentioned and decided to stay quitet.

I had listened as Amber confided in Alexa, and I was happy to hear her agree with her advice. I had had no idea she had been worried about Jess getting some sort of revenge and that had been the cause of her decision to just be friends.

Alexa was right about me, not the bad smell part, but about me being crazy about Amber.
She had noticed me standing here but Amber continued talking oblivious to my presence, when she finally saw me she looked mortified.

"How long have you been standing there?" She asks

"Long enough" I smile "I think you and me need to talk"

"I'll leave you guys to it" Alexa says putting her mat away and leaving the gym.

"How much did you hear?" She asks standing up

"Pretty much all of it" I smile wrapping my arms around her "tell me Amber what would make you happy?"

"You make me happy" she says wrapping her arms around my neck "being with you makes me happy"

"Then be with me" I say "let's stop this friends bullshit and just be what we are, a couple"

Amber stays silent and I can tell she is hesitant, I know exactly what's holding her back. Lifting her chin so that she looks at me I look into her eyes and she holds my gaze.

"I promise you, there is nothing she can do to take me away from you" I say "and I will never let anyone hurt you"

"Alright" she smiles "no more bullshit"

Tightening my arms around her I press my lips against hers and she returns the kiss. I had waited so long for this moment and I would have waited forever if she had asked me to.
