Mine For A Moment

Hospital

Amber POV

When I got back stage I walked straight into Jeff's open arms, he holds me for a moment until my tears stop and I've calmed down.

"If it helps I believe you?" He says kissing the top of my head

"Thanks" I say against his chest "how come he can't see it?"

"Becuase he's a stubborn asshole" he chuckles "but a stubborn asshole that cares about you enough to lie to you"

"You think he's lying?" I ask looking up at him shocked

"Oh I'm sure of it" he says "come on let's go"

"Where are we going?" I ask

"To the hospital of course" he says "I'm assuming you want to be with him?"

Sometimes I swear Jeff could read me like a god damn book, even though he heard me say no he knew I didn't mean it, at times it was sweet at others it was infuriating becuase I couldn't get away with lying to him about anything.

"Let me get changed I'll meet you at the car" I say and he nods

After getting change and putting my necklace back on where it belongs I meet Jeff at the car and we make the short drive to the hospital, when we get the Jeff finds out where Randy is and then turns to me.

"Go get yourself a coffee I just want to speak to him for a moment"

Jeff POV

As I approach Randy's cubicle I can tell he's already giving the nurse a hard time.

"Mr Orton I need you to hold still"

"It fucking hurts why the hell would I want to stay still?"

"Quit being a baby and let the woman do her job" I say parting the curtains and entering the cubicle, the nurse laughs and Randy looks around me

"She's here, she's just getting coffee" I say "now you and I both know your as worried as she is, you've told me as much" I say leaning over him slightly "so quit making her feel like she's going crazy or so help me burns or not I will kick your ass"

"I never meant to make her feel like that" he sighs "I just don't want her to worry anymore than she already is"

"I get that" I say "but you two shouldn't be fighting right now, you should be sticking together, she needs you"

Randy POV

Before I can respond Amber appears with three coffees, she places them on the bedside cabinet and takes a seat beside me, saying nothing she takes my hand in hers and watches as the nurse tends to my arms.

As the nurse cleans up my arm, I hiss a little but don't make as much fuss as before, when she's finished she smoothes some cream over my arm before wrapping it in a bandage.

The nurse and Amber swaps sides so that she can work on my other arm and as Amber takes my other hand the nurse smiles at her.

"You know before you got here he was screaming blue murder" she says

"Really?" Amber laughs "and I here I thought you were a big tough man?"

"Cut me some slack it hurts like hell" I sigh

"Funny" the nurse laughs "you haven't made a sound since she came and held your hand" she says before turning to Amber "honey, you should of heard him effing and jeffing"

As the nurse and Amber contuine to be amused at my expense, I realise the nurse is right, the second she held my hand I relaxed and the pain didn't feel so bad.

"There all done" she says "you will need to have them changed in a week but you're good to go"

"Thank you" I say "and sorry for swearing"

"Not a problem" she smiles "just make sure you have this young lady with you next time"

"Oh don't worry I will be" Amber says and I can't help but smile.

"I brought your clothes, I figured you wouldn't want to walk out the front door in your ring gear" she says handing me my bag

"Thanks, Amber I really am sorry" I say "It's not that I don't agree with you becuase I do I just didn't want to make you worry anymore than you already were"

"I appreciate that" she says "I'm sorry for getting mad at you"

"Hey I deserved it" I laugh as I pull up my jeans "do you forgive me?" I ask

"Yes I forgive you" she smiles "but be honest with me from now on"

"I will I promise" I say as I finish getting dressed "now let's get out of here I hate hospitals"
