Deliberate?

One week later
Amber POV

Monday rolled around and I found my self once again preparing to run through the match I should have had last week. Although I'm sure Randy was right and that last week was an accident I am completely on edge.

So much so that I had asked Steph to get some one to check everything before we started, she thought I was over reacting but did it anyway to humour me.

After pulling on my ring gear I reach up and remove the chain from around my neck placing it carefully in my make up bag, there was no way I was going to risk that getting broken it meant o much to me.

Heading to gorilla I find Randy is already there, I stand by the monitors that I can watch for my cue to go out as Randy nods for his music to start.
I was as he walks out in his usual manner, taking his time but just as he reaches the front of the stage just before the top of the ramp I hear unmistakable sound of pyro igniting.
I watch in horror as a shower of sparks fall around Randy.

"RANDY!" I scream standing up before I pair of arms grab me and stop me from running to him

"Let go of me! Randy!" I shout trying desperately to break free of the arms

"You can't go out there until they turn it off" Jeff says minting his hold on me "you need to wait"

I relax a little but as soon as he loses his grip I break free running the alternate route and coming out along side the ramp.

"Randy" I call out as I spot him sat on the ramp looking at his arms
"Baby are you alright?" I ask dropping to my knees in front of him

"I'm fine baby" he says "it could have been alot worse"

"Oh my god your arms" I gasp looking at the burns running the length of both forearms

"I put them over my head before I'd ducked and rolled" he hisses as I try to look at them "I got out of the way before I got burned too badly"

"What the hell is going on?" I ask "and don't tell me this was an accident becuase I'm not buying it"

"You don't really think this is deliberate do you?" He asks "baby there is no reason to believe that someone is doing this on purpose"

"Well then how come it's only happening to you and no one else?" I snap

"I'm just unlucky I guess" he shrugs

I'm about to lose my shit with him because I just can't believe he can shrug this off so easily but then I see Stephanie rushing over to us and I decide to save it for later.

"Oh my god are you alright?" She gasps "what the hell happened?"

"Some one set his pyro off while he was the top of the ramp" I say stopping Randy from speaking "its not supposed to go off until he's in the ring, I think some one is doing this on purpose"

"Amber will you stop" he snaps "I've told you there is no reason to believe that, you're over re acting"

"We'll look into it and find out what happened" Steph says "we'll know then if it was deliberate or not"

"Thank you Stephanie" I say glaring at Randy "at least some one is listening to me"

Stephanie nods and heads off to find the pyro guys to begin the investigation leaving me and Randy alone. He reaches out to me but I move away and he sighs hanging his head.

"Come on baby don't be like that" he says placing his hand on my leg

"Last week you were almost crushed to death, this week you avoided serious burns, I'm scared to death that some is trying to hurt you and you tell me I'm over re acting" I snap "I think I deserve to be mad at you"

"Amber please, let's just wait until we hear from Steph before jumping to conclusions" he pleads "now I'm going to need to go to the hospital and I'd really like to have you with me"

"I can't" I sigh "I just......I can't be around you right now"

Randy POV

I watch as Amber walks away from me unable to go after her because of the medics tanding to my arms. As she disappears from view I know I've fucked up.

I never meant to upset her I just don't want her to worry, which I know is easier said than done. Until the investigation is done we won't know anything for sure but just like her I don't think this was an accident.

Maybe putting a brave face on it and try to ease her fears wasn't my best idea but if she knows I'm worried then she will worry more.

As I'm walked to the waiting ambulance to be taken to have my burns dealt with properly I can't help but wish she was with me, this scared me as much as it scared her and whether she knows it or not I need her right now.
