Are You Crazy?

Amber POV

The journey to Shawn's ranch was a short one, he lived surprisingly close to the airport. We hadn't spoken much and I'm guessing he's assumed I want to be left alone.

As we pull up along side the house my phone starts to ring, when I look at the screen I see Randy's name and I hover my thumb over the answer button.

"Don't do it, you know the rules" Shawn says giving me a sympathetic look

Nodding I press the decline button with a sigh, it was an action that damn near killed me becuase all I wanted right now was to hear his voice.

As if on cue the other phone rings, Shawn nods and heads inside with my bags.

"Hello" I answer

"Tell me you did not answer his call?" Stephanie says

"How in the hell?" I gasp "no I didn't"

"I saw him dial your number" she said "had to make sure you're following the rules"

"I am I promise" I sigh "but it would be nice to hear his voice"

"I know, just give me a few days and then hopefully you can come back" she says "Randy asked me to give you a message"

"What did he say?" I ask

"He said he loves you" she says and I can here her smile down the phone

"Could you give him a message for me?" I ask

"Well I walked right into this didn't I" she laughs "fine but don't make a habit of it"

"Tell him I love him too and that I wish he was with me" I say

"Ok listen I'm only telling you this so that you don't think I've betrayed you" she begins "I'm bringing her back and putting her on Raw, I'm going to win her trust by giving her your title shot and then hopefully she will admit what she's done. My plan is to record it, once I have it on tape you can come back"

"Are you crazy?" I gasp "How is that going to keep Randy safe"

"I'm not crazy, I'm a Mcmahon" she says "and if she's hear and getting what she wants then she is going to hurt him is she?"

"No I guess not" I say "and thank you again for your help"

"No need to thank me" she says "she messed with a Mcmahon and no one gets away with that"

I end the call and take a moment to gather my thoughts before heading into the house. When I walk in I'm greeted by Shawn and his entire family.

"Amber this is my wife Rebecca, my daughter Cheyenne and my son Cameron" He says "everyone this is Amber"

"It's nice to meet you Amber" Rebecca says giving me a hug "you ever need girl talk you come and find me"

"Thank you" I smile "and thank you so much for doing this I really appreciate it"

"Oh it's no problem at all" she smiles back at me "come on I'll show you your room"

"Uh wait a minute" Shawn calls after us and holds out his hand "hand it over"

"Hand what over" I ask

"Your phone, come on give it" he says, reaching into my pocket I pull out the phone and place it in his hand "haha very funny the other phone"

"Fine" I sigh giving him the other phone

"Now you may go" he says and Rebecca leads me upstairs

"This will be you room" she says "it has an en suite so you have privacy"

"Thank you" I say before breaking down right in front of her

"Oh honey I know this isn't easy but you will see him soon" she soothes giving me a hug

"I just miss him so much, I want to hear his voice" I sob "I hate that I had to leave him this way"

"He'll understand once it's all explained to him" she says "but like I said you ever need to talk I'm right here"

Shawn POV

When Rebecca comes downstairs the look on her face tells me I'm in trouble.

"Could you not have been nicer when you took her phone?" She snaps under her breath "the poor girl is up there in tears"

"What was I supposed to do? Leave the phone with her and risk her calling him?" I reply

"You could have trusted her" she says "she knows she can't speak to him and it's breaking the poor girls heart, now go up there and apologise to her"

"But I..."

"Michael Hickenbottom you go apologise or you're spending the night on the couch" she says cutting me off

"Alright I'll go" I sigh and head upstairs

Knocking lightly and opening the door I find her looking out of the window. Walking over I place and arm around her shoulders.

"I'm sorry I shouldn't have been so harsh with you before" I say and she gives me a small smile

"It's fine honestly you did the right thing, I would have caved  called him" I say

"Look I'd let you call him but Steph would have my ass and quite frankly she terrifies me" I say and she laughs

"I get that, she's a formidable woman" she chuckles

"That she is" I say "I'll shout you when dinners ready"
