                                                                      Digital Footprint

Take a photo. They usually say that picture tells a million words. And nobody dares to tell me why, so I thought the said proposition only applies with crimes and with the prosecution paradigm. But it was entirely wrong. You see, pictures are living history. Looking at one picture is like a Flashover phenomenon~ well, Dr. Stone said that when a small fire was tapped or scrubbed in fabrics, it wouldn't kill the fire, instead, it empowers it like a gasoline, so basically the fire will spread and grow amazingly bigger. Fire is a feeling. When I saw pictures on my gallery, it was raging. It was shouting for a replay or a reoccurrence but I can't see a replay button anywhere. It was telling me to bring back to those days where we smile like we don't have to think of anything else. There may be pictures that were captured years ago but my recollection of it was still vivid. You will see how you and your friend's faces changes in every slide, and you'll suddenly ask, how are they? I haven't heard anything from them since we got separated by our late-disseminated diplomas. You will wonder who are they with or how their day's going? If they still recall your presence or they were looking with your pictures, too. People come and go. They all do that. So the least resort to be with them is to engrave them in your memories, it'll be better if you have these digital footprints so you can actually visualize the event. As long as there's a chance to capture a moment, please, capture. Take a photo of your school library, it may be the last time you can access that. Or take a photo on your graduation pictorial, hope everybody's there. That's prolly the departure point of the class. Take a photo when you're having lunch or dinner with your friends, well, I know you mostly do that for Instagram purposes or dramatic Facebook statuses, and it's fine. All these social media apps are the most convenient storage for every capture. You can tag them so they have their copies on their walls, too. Take pictures of the places you have been. No one has the idea that you can still go back there or have a chance to, so take your pride away and tell someone to take a picture of you~ well, that's when you travel alone. Jump or spread your arms or do make faces or point out the sunset. You will be weirded out when you're taking those photographs but believe me, you will regret when you didn't take it.Moments are moments and they are precious more than a jewelry.I know most people doesn't have cameras or even capable to take shots when they go out. But since you have it, are you wasting your camera use? Instead of you taking of pictures of your girlfriend's/boyfriend's nude picture, why don't you guys take a selfie and caption have a great morning? Lol. I don't envy your recent intercourse, but I don't wanna see a picture of it. Well if you have it, keep it discreetly close, I don't have to judge how you define digital footprints either way.Instead of chatting and having conversations with the people you just met online, why don't you go and take a picture your dog and tell the world he ate your food. If you're a house person, no problem. Take a picture of your mom while she's cooking, or your dad when he's watching replays. Take pictures during dinner and tell them the soup was great. See, take pictures as long as you have the chance. Every day is every history. Take a picture of your wife in downward angles and tell her that's the way God sees you. These pictures will make all memories alive. You know, I used to memorize the definition of nostalgia: pleasure and sadness that is caused by recalling something from the past and wishing you could experience them again. Nostalgic, that's what we feel when we look at our pictures. And when I look, "There we were, filling all the spaces with the sound of us. With a smile that we never even thought we will be looking back at that moment with a photograph, and on this, we will never get tired smiling". So if you have a picture in my gallery, thanks for being a part of it.
