A/n: Would anyone wanna see an Amity POV Chapter?
It was large, bigger than owlbert. But it was also an owl, which is honestly fitting. It was a barn owl, but had the size of a great grey owl. This was a bit concerning because I don't think palismans should be that big.
"Well I'll be.." Was all I could get out before a hissing sound caught my attention. I turn to look at the snake that's been with me for a while now. She's looking at the owl with a look of recognition in her clouded eyes.
"You know 'em?" To my surprise, she nods her head and slithers down to the owl. I sigh. "Alright, you can stay and catch up or whatever, but I'm going to bed. I have a lot to do tomorrow."
I lay on top of my sleeping bag and slowly drift off to sleep with, surprisingly, no interruptions this time.
'Everything is starting to come together. Watch your back Belos.....'

I woke up to Eda pounding on the door.
"Wake up kid, we've got a big day ahead of us!" I gave a groan of annoyance. That must have given her the answer of 'I'm awake and probably won't fall asleep again' because I soon hear her heels clicking down the hallway. I get up off the floor and start my routine and soon enough I am down stairs and ready to leave. I didn't see the palismans anywhere but i know they can handle themselves so i wasn't worried. Eda said something about taking us to the beach and I had a feeling I knew exactly where we were going. But I wasn't prepared for how nasty it was.
"I think I'm gonna opt out on this one..." My uncertain tone rang through the air, catching Eda's attention.
"What? These trash slugs bring all kinds of junk in from the Human realm! You're telling me there's nothing you want from here?" Eda was a bit disappointed in me not joining her.
"I'm not really into picking apart dead things Eda. But if you find anything electronic or with wires on it save it for me ok? I'm gonna go explore." I really wasn't wanting to stay here any longer. It was taking everything in me not to puke my guts out.
"Fine fine, be that way. Don't forget your mask!" She was really too laid back sometimes and this time I was glad for it. I just wave back at her as I put my mask on and flip up my hood and walk away.
It was quiet for a while, I surprisingly never ran into Willow. That was the oddest thing about this entire walk. Actually, I don't think there were any animals or anything either. It was completely quiet, with exception of the wind rustling the leaves. It didn't take long to actually reach the school. It was only then that I actually spotted Willow. She looked so sad and scared.
"Hey, kid...need any help?" I hadn't even noticed that I had walked towards her until my mouth had seemingly moved on its own.
"Oh um.....sure I guess..." She looked startled and suspicious. I just grab the barrel and start walking next to her.
"I don't think I've ever seen you around here stranger." She has this friendly demeanor about her but also something else. I know she was never cut out for the Abomination track.......But what if there was something more to it than that...
"That's probably because this is the first time I've been here." I shrug and look around while walking next to her. It was oddly empty so classes must be starting soon. That or she's late and the bell has already rung.
"Outsiders aren't allowed here, didn't you know that?" She looked a bit surprised at my nonchalant nature. I just snort and nod my head, following her lead as she walks towards her classroom.
"I'm trying to enroll. I wanted to talk to Principal Bump about it cause my guardian will not be happy about it." She looked like she wanted to say something else but we had arrived at her class. The door swung open just as we arrived, startling both of us.
"Ah Willow. How nice of you to finally join us." The teacher had such disdain in his voice that it took all I had not to punch him.
"Well-"
"It was my fault, sir. See I was planning to join Hexside and Willow graciously offered me a small tour. We seem to have lost track of time. I sincerely apologize for any disturbance." I kept my voice in an even tone, not letting any hint of a lie seep through. He seemed to accept this.
"Hm..Excused. Now, do you have your project?" Willow seemed to panic at this. She shakily nodded as the teacher walked back to his spot in front of the classroom.
"Well then, lets see it. Chop chop." Every student present groaned causing me to clench my fists in anger. She shakily started her spell when I quickly interrupted.
"Excuse me, Sir?" He was annoyed but answered me anyway.
"Yes?" I took a breath and thought quickly of what I can do to help Willow into the Plant track.
"Willow's magic....There's something off about it don't you think?" This seems to have caught everyone's attention. Some seemed to think I was making fun of her and smirked and others were just plain confused.
"What are you talking about?" The teacher sounded genuinely interested in what I meant. So I decided to keep going.
"It's just that....Her magic doesn't seem to agree with the spell she's casting. It's almost like its aptitude is for something else, like plant magic." Willow's hand started to glow a bright green as I said this, further proving my point.
"Hmmm....." He looked very sceptical about this. I needed to do something to further prove my point or else the whole point in this would be lost.
"We could possibly test this, if you don't mind that is." This peaked his interest.
"Very well, what would you suggest?" He still looked sceptical but for some reason went with it.
"Well, if you have a perfect batch of abomination goo and a seed, we could have her try both and see which one has a stronger reaction. After all, the more aptitude the magic has for the subject, the stronger the spell is." He seemed surprised, like no one has told him this before. Then again i don't think this concept was ever a thing here.
"Hm, very well. Someone get the Plant track teacher and the principle. We'll see if this has any merit." Two students left the classroom as everyone else packed up their things.
"Are you sure this is going to work?" Willow was terrified. I pat her shoulder.
"I know it will. Just trust me ok?" She looked so nervous but nodded her head anyway as we walked outside. The teacher had two students bring the abomination goo and the Plant teacher had just brought a seed. Both were put on the ground in front of Willow.
"Everyone might want to take a few steps back." I said, surprisingly Amity has been pretty quiet throughout this whole ordeal. I pat Willow on the shoulder as I go to join the rest of the class.
"You can do this. Just follow your instincts and let your magic flow." She gives me a nervous nod and takes a deep breath before stealing herself. First one up was abominations.
"Abomination. Rise!" The goo bubbled in its pot before a small blob with no shape rose from it. It was barely able to hold itself up before it plopped back into the pot. Everyone started to laugh except the teachers and Bump. She started to shake again.
"It's ok Willow! It's like I said!" She looked back at me and nodded. Her nervousness diminished as she cast a spell on the seed, repeating my words from earlier.
"Follow my instincts." She finished her magic circle, completing the spell. "And let my magic FLOW!" Her eyes glowed green as the seed dug into the dirt. Gasps were heard all around as vines started sprouting from the ground, twisting and winding around themselves and gaining speed as they shot up, creating a dome like structure above.
"YEAHHHHH" My yelling could be heard above the panic causing Willow to stop her spell and turn towards me. Her eyes widened as she saw what her spell had caused.
