New Point of View

Chapter 2

A/N: Since we're almost at 80 reads here's an extra chapter for today as promised and you get a new chapter tomorrow ;)

WAIT A SEC!! The glyphs!!!! I completely forgot about them!! Maybe I can try and see if they work here? I know they didn't work for Luz here but it's still worth a shot. I draw a simple light glyph. Luckily muscle memory came in handy with drawing because I am not drawing this a hundred times. I go to tap it just as Camilla opens my door. We both freeze as a small orb of light floats up and disappears as soon as it comes. I hear a small breath hitch before realizing I forgot about my surroundings. I look over at my door slowly and start sweating nervously.

"Um.......I can explain...." my talking seemingly snaps her out of the little trance before she starts to hyperventilate. I run over to her side before she's able to collapse and grab her hands.

"Mami, mami, focus on me ok, just follow my breathing." She nods before taking a deep breath with me. We continue this until she's breathing normally again.

"Ok ok, I'm alright now mija. But what the heck was that?" She's looking at me like I've just done the craziest thing on earth. I sigh knowing there's no way else to explain it.

"That, mami, was magic. I know it sounds crazy but I promise you, I'm not lying." She looks at me for a second before taking a deep breath.

"Show me again." I must have had an incredulous look on my face because then she said "show me again so I know I'm not going crazy." I nod hesitantly, I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to explain how I know how to do it but at this point I might as well tell a semi truth when she asks. I draw the glyph again and tap it breathing out as I do. Somehow it's stronger than it was. It stays a few seconds longer than before. Camilla takes in a deep breath before talking again.

"Mija, please, explain." And so explain I did. Well with half truths anyway. I told her I woke up from a weird dream about another realm that all started with a tiny owl. I didn't tell her anything specific about it, just that someone important to me was there and that I was needed. She didn't question it when I told her I thought it was like a premonition but she did look at me like this was the craziest thing she's ever heard. She just asked me when it would start. I told the complete truth with that answer. She just nodded and told me dinner was here before leaving. I let her, knowing that the information I gave her was probably enough to break her sanity if she didn't have time to process it. I ate before going to snoop around again and figure everything out. The little snake poked her head out of the pillow she was sleeping in.

"Oh hey! You wanna look around for a bit?" She nods and slithers down my bed and into the open closet. Looks like I gotta be careful there now. I do a little more snooping and find an owl mask. Odd, Luz never had this in the show...? There's a glyph on it? What? I tap it, it glows, but nothing seems to happen. I stare at it until deciding to be stupid and put it on. Nothing seems to happen, until I feel something off with my ears. I go look at a mirror and find that my ears now look like witch ears. Holy cow. This will be very helpful. But why did Luz have it in the first place? Last I checked she didn't have anything magical, heck she didn't even know about the isles before she got there. This is starting to get more and more complicated than I thought. 

I took it off and got ready for bed when I spotted a guitar peeking out of the closet. Huh, I never knew Luz played, but when I go through her memories I see she did and often. She could have actually been an internet star if she wanted to. I'm not just saying that, she was actually that good. Most of the memories she had of being at home alone involve either learning a new instrument, practicing the ones she has, or something to do with her book and anime edits. I also found a lot of locked away memories from her childhood that were blurry and unclear. I couldn't get into them no matter what I did. There looked to be some sort of block on them. Some of them look like they've grown from vines but others look more like barriers that were out there. Wonder why that was never shown in the show? I sigh and turn off the light before going to bed.

"Night snake friend." I get a little sleepy hiss in response. Cute.

But what met me wasn't the darkness of sleep. I was thrust into a bright room. All I could see was white. In the middle of the room was a book. It was green and gold with a lining of abomination purple. There was a gold lock on it, but no key in sight. A shadow rose from the pedestal.

"It is not yet time," it said. Something about it was familiar. I don't know why but I have a feeling I need to find out.

"What do you mean?" I tried getting an answer but all I got was silence. I tried walking towards it but something was stopping me.

"It's not TIME" I was thrown across the room by an invisible force. The pain in my back was immense, I couldn't feel my right arm, I couldn't move it at all. As I struggled to get up the being moved closer, pinning me by the neck against the wall as I struggled to regain strength.

"Leave" the grip on my neck got tighter as the shadow started to take from. I struggle to grab the hand on my neck with the only working arm I have. I could do nothing but choke as the shadows eyes brightened and it's arm turned into a spike aimed at my heart. My eyes widen in fear as I start kicking my feet in a desperate attempt to stop it as it descends closer and closer to its intended target. My mind is racing and I can do nothing but close my eyes and brace for the impact. I wait.....one beat.....then two......At the third I open my eyes and see the shadow start to convulse. It looks down at its chest. My eyes follow its line of sight and widen at what I see.

A hand.

The hand had struck through the shadows heart as it screeched in pain, forcing me to cover my ears as a booming voice rang through the room.

"You are not welcome here Belos.....RETURN TO YOUR DOMAIN NOW"

This was the last thing I heard before everything went white and the screech was replaced with Belos' pain filled scream.......
