Jared:
" I didn't want to tell you this but I am engaged to Rosie." Anthony said, causing me to stop in my tracks.
I turned to look at him, glaring. There were so many thoughts running through my mind at the moment, and I am praying that he is kidding. It is taking everything in me to not turn around and punch him in the face.
" What are you talking about?"
" Oh you didn't know? You remember that dad has been wanting to merge companies and so he made an engagement deal with the CEO and it is none other than Rosie's dad.
" Dont pretend to be shocked because you knew, and yet you still think that I wouldn't find out. That is not very brotherly if you ask me."
" Oh shut up! you knew damn well that I liked her first? I thought you were joking when you said you were going to marry her someday."
" Now why would I joke about that. Besides YOU didn't even know who she was until you went to school with her" At this point I was getting fed up with Anthony. I couldn't wait to leave.
"I got a flight to catch." I grabbed my luggage and left. I hugged my mom once more before I left and told spencer that I would see him soon. Anthony was at the top of the stairs. Smirking.
A lonely drive to the airport and I found myself lost in thought. If it was true what Anthony said then I was sitting there for a little bit contemplating if I should even take things further with Rosie.
I dont even know what to do at this point. Could I stand in the way? It a business proposal, Dad would be furious if he knew that I got in between something that can make or break the company. I could care less about that honestly, we all knew who was going to inherit the company and it sure wasn't me
But the one thing I really wanted was her. All I wanted just for myself was her. But now I cant even have her. I know she is not an object and she has her own feelings and I should honor that but damn why Anthony though?
Anthony and I have been in a constant competition since we were little. It never really helped that Dad somewhat favored him more, okay alot more than me but that really never stopped me from at least gaining some type of approval.
I felt like since Rosie I felt like this was something and someone that I wouldn't have to compete with Anthony for. But turns out I am wrong. I don't know what to feel exactly. I almost have half the mind to march up to my fathers company and demand answers but a little part of me is also thinking that maybe Rosie isn't worth it.
I had been sitting here parked at the garage for a minute now. Debating If I should even go.
On a last minute decision I found myself, walking towards the entrance.

Rosie:
I tried calling Jared again. I wanted to let him know that I wanted to pick him up from the airport but every time I called it went straight too voicemail.
I was pretty confused. I didn't know if I had done something to upset him.
My phone dinged and I thought it was Jared for a moment. I looked down and it was from Anthony.
"Hey beautiful, how was your flight?"
"It was fine, still a little jet lagged but overall same as usual. Starting school tomorrow."
