Rosie's POVI woke up because of the ruckus that was going on downstairs. I checked the time on my phone to see that it was 5am. I walked downstairs in a quiet manner. Only to my dad There ransacking the fridge.
"Dad?" He jolted in surprise and dropped the pack of bacon. He looked funny with a cookie hanging out of his mouth and a bunch of potato chips stuffed in the pocket of his hoodie. Geez i swear my dad is a little kid sometime.
"Sweetheart, what are you doing up?" he spoke quietly, as if he was trying not to get caught.
"I woke up because of the noise."
"Was i really that loud?" i nodded my head and then the lights came on suddenly. We looked at my mother was in already in her scrubs ready for work.
"What's going on in here?" She asked suspiciously, My dad on the other hand was slowly trying to put everything back in the fridge without making much movement, so basically he's placing the pack of bacon in slow motion.
"Tyler? What is going on?" He gave her a sheepish smile.
"I was hungry?" I swear my dad is still a little kid at heart. He looked as if he had been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
"While you're there you can make breakfast then." My dad gaped at her. Making my mother and i chuckle.
"You can catch more flies with honey." She winked and walked back into the bathroom.
"I love that woman" I smiled at him.
"Would you like some help dad?" He shook his head and tossed me the whisk.
"You remember how to make pancakes?" And that's how my morning came about. Making sure my dad didn't burn down the kitchen.
==========================================================================
"Okay sweetheart thank you for helping me, but you should get ready or else you'd be late for your first day." My dad said and i looked at the clock and it was already 6:45 i rushed to my room and showered and got ready. I went for a simple outfit but straightened my hair at least. After applying some makeup i went to grab my glasses only they were not where i left them i started to panic and i rushed downstairs nearly tripping.
"Mom! have you seen my glasses?" I asked completely out of breath.
"No babe, I haven't seen them. Go see if its in your dad's study." I nodded and made my way towards dad's study. As usual I see my dad faced down signing some paper work. He changed his clothes from earlier. Means hes going to work.
"Hey sweetheart, what's up?"
"Hey dad, have you seen my glasses? I think I might've misplaced them somewhere." He scrummaged around looking until he reached into his drawer and pulled out my black big rimmed glasses.
" Aiden must've hid them in my drawer again" yup sounds about right. Typical Aiden for ya.
"Hey sweetheart, its your first day of high school. How do you feel?" I shrugged my shoulders. There wasn't really much to think about. I am not considered popular but I've had my fair share of "fake" friends who only used me because I had money and well all my parents were well off.
"I dont know dad, I mean I just want real friends this time, not people who know about my wealth and fortune. I want genuine friends who will look past all of that." I admitted. Its been really hard for me to make friends. and well that also includes boyfriends. Now I know that both my dads are very overprotective but I want to experience everything. Good and Bad.
