Phase 1

Rosie:

"Mi amor what are you doing here?" Aaron gave me a hug and a kiss so sweet it made my knees go weak.

" I came to watch you practice bebe." I replied. My stomach was churning. I need to tell him what happened just a couple minutes ago.

But how do I even say it? I have always been honest and right now the guilt is eating me alive.

It's even more troublesome when Jared is Aarons best friend. This would absolutely crush him. Last thing I want to do is create a rift between them.

I finally got home around 7pm and went straight to my room to finish my trig homework. I opened my bedroom door and met a unexpected familiar face.

"Dad?" I stared at my dad who had who was holding a teddy bear with some balloons attached to the arm. 

"Hey sweetheart!" I ran up and hugged him. Tears welled in my eyes. I haven't seen dad in 4 months. He was busy filming in New Zealand last. 

"I missed you babygirl." 

" I missed you more dad. How'd you movie go?" 

"Eh co-star was hot." I rolled my eyes at his comment. He can still be a kid sometimes. 

"So wanna tell me why The Mister Kaleb White is in my bedroom right now. bearing gifts might I add." 

"Can't I just visit my daughter after shooting in New Zealand for 4 months. Of course I missed you tinky." 

"Don't call me that. I don't say that anymore. but really there's a catch. Normally I go to you. When did the roles switch.?" 

" You got me. Okay well your mother called me. Hysterical might I add. My god I don't understand why she chose being a doctor when she CLEARLY has a talent for being an actress. So dramatic I swear!"

" She says that you have been very distant with her since she returned from New York and I wanted to know why?" 

Of course mom called. I have been avoiding her. Oh since this is a time jump. Mom and dad came back from New York towards the end of sophomore year. Dad came back first obviously and mom kept flying back and forth from DC and New York. 

"Well she is always traveling. She seems busy with the hospital and such so I clearly avoid adding more stress to her." I said monotoned. With how many time I have had to recite this answer to everyone they usually just take it and drop the conversation. 

But dad Didn't buy it. Speaking of mom and dad wonder where they were. And Aiden. yeah I forgot about him. 

"Now tinky we both know that is not the case. You would have general answers and conversations with you mother and she can feel the distance you are putting off. I am busy and you seem closer to me than your own mother who is just downstairs." 

"Well you actually picked up when I needed you. And I was doing everything by myself while mom and dad worked in New York. " 

"So that is what this is about. You are still mad at your mom for not picking up when you called." 

"Sweetheart-" 

"Dad The point was that she played the absentee parent majority of my sophomore year. After freshman year and coming back to DC mom didn't even call to check up on me. She called to see if Aiden ate or did his homework. After telling her she would say she had to go." She doesn't even know about Jared and me cutting and the whole meeting my bully back in New York because she didn't bother  to ask. 

"Tinky I know it's hard." 

"Do you dad? I haven't even been able to tell mom about Aaron. Or anything that happened while going to school. Mom and I used to be close I know, but right now she is more focused than ever so I don't need to burden her more about my days. "
