According to the promise Jisung made to himself and Chenle, decides to talk with everybody. And the first one, whom he was comfortable with, was his Hyung.
Jaemin starts talking normally with him later, but needless to say, they never tried to take the topic seriously to properly look into it deeply and make valuable points to them.
Although it's just been two days, he never tries to bring that topic and that makes him doubtful and hesitant to start the conversation about it.
Like a mindless habit, since their childhood, Jaemin gives his glass of milk which their mother gave him to drink, and how they would trade drinking each other's milk and vegetables to compensate for their non-favorite foods.
Although Jisung didn't give his vegetables, he took the milk anyway.
As he sits down cleaning his study table, Jisung hears a call from his brother.
"Hey, Jisungiee? You busy right now?" He could sense the irresolution in his voice and was quite apologetic too.
"Huh? Why?"
"Uhh... Just kinda wanted to talk you know..."
"Do you want help in your project?"
"Uhh... no. And when did you start helping me with projects? Do I take this as a permit card for asking for your help now?" Jaemin says playfully startled and equally hopeful.
"I mean, if your teachers don't mind the crap handwriting or drawing, you can I guess."
"You could as well prepare presentations."
Jisung grows surprised.
"Oh dude, you really want me to help or what?"
"If you are ready, you can actually help."
".... I don't have an answer for this. Do you need it like- right now?"
Jaemin laughs, "It's not right now. Don't get tense."
"Thank God man."
"Well, I wanted to talk about some real stuff."
"Oh."
"About the things happening recently."
Jisung chews on his bottom lip, thinking if this was it. He was kind of anticipating the moment to happen.
He inwardly mutters, "The power of happenstance can't be controlled by anybody," and smiles to himself.
Later they sit down on their bed settling their backs against the wall and crossing their legs.
"Now, so what?" Jisung says in the air, imitating his words like one of the catchphrases Jaemin often uses.
"Jisung ah! It's serious," Jaemin says.
They both laugh at another catchphrase as they find it even funnier when Jaemin is the one who says it.
After slapping Jisung's knee they fall into a familiar comfortable silence, now letting the time grow with them.
