Jisung visits Hina's flower shop and buys the bouquet of roses for his mother on Mother's Day.
"Is it for Chenle?" She asks giggling.
"Ah no, it's for my mother. Mothers Day."
"Oh. "
He thanks Hina for the flowers and gives a single rose to her smiling.
"Flower for flower girl," he says gleaming.
She takes the yellow flower and hands him chocolate, "and chocolate for the chocolate boy."
Jisung laughs at the comment and takes the chocolate before waving her goodbye.
He wishes his mother a very happy Mother's day hugging her and shoving the bouquet onto her face, nearly forcing her to almost have a mouthful of roses.
"Oh- wo- wow. Thanks," his mother says surprised when she looks at the delicacy of the petals that had been gifted to her.
"You are welcome," Jisung says.
Later, his mother gives him one of the flowers and kisses his cheek.
"Maa," Jisung uncertainly says as she stitches her cloth.
"Yes?" She asks.
"I actually have something to say," he says in a low voice picking his skin from his wrist.
"Tell me," she absentmindedly answers.
"I actually have someone- I like someone."
"Yeah, that's why I saw you had two extra flowers in your pocket," she laughs, "who is it? Do I know that person?"
"Chenle," he admits bending down.
His mother laughs.
"Of course, you like him."
"No- like. I like him, not just like- like. But I like him in the other way."
"Oh God Jisung, I know what you mean."
His mother was fully laughing right now.
"Are you fine with that?" He asks timidly.
"It's okay Jisung, there is nothing with a boy liking another boy, and I can see that you are always happy with him, why would I have a problem with that? Thanks for trusting your mother on this though," she gives him comfort.
"Thanks maa. For understanding me." He smiles at her as she returns it with a caress on his cheek.
He says goodbye to his mother and rushes to Chenle's house trying to get there before Sungchan and Shotaro but he already sees them there.
When the both of their friends got to know about Chenle and Jisung getting together, Sungchan jokingly groaned and said that he is upset because he can't pull Chenle's leg anymore, causing Chenle to bite his palm in fake anger. But Shotaro showed his full support and congratulated them wholeheartedly and called them the best duo with best chemistry.
Jisung was touched by their reactions.
Renjun however, reacted very strongly and said, "You break his heart and I break your bones, remember that." Jisung felt threatened but he knew that Renjun was just sweet in his own ways like how he pretends to be annoyed by Chenle or Jaemin all the time but cares for everybody secretly and ensures their well being all the time. And to Jisung, Infact he was extra sweet and always had conversations with him.
Nevertheless, he enters the house and sees all three of them playing with Xiao and Chenle trying to make him walk by catching both of his tiny hands.
Shotaro and Sungchan were delighted to see the baby for the first time and played with him while talking in baby noises and fetching him toys.
Jisung reached there and received tantrums for being late which he excused with the reason that he was giving his mother the flowers.
Jisung thinks for a while and gives the chocolate to Xiao which Hina gave him. The baby would be happier to have it than him. However, his mother reprimands him for doing so but Chenle convinces her that it was just one time for the baby to eat chocolate and it would be fine.
After getting the chocolate, Xiao pecks his cheek as a mark of gratitude, and everyone in the room burst into a bundle of tiny giggles including Jisung. He opens his mouth agape in surprise but is happy nonetheless.
When Shotaro goes, "Me too" bending his cheek in Xiao's height, the baby moves again and the mother reasons that maybe he got surprised and scared.
Sungchan promises Xiao to bring something for him and get a peck for himself too.
As Sungchan and Shotaro leave the house, Chenle takes Jisung's hands and asks him to come along.
Curious, Jisung follows.
After a distance, they reach the banks of the Han River and they sit on the grasses for a while.
Jisung gives him the yellow rose of friendship instead of the red one which depicts love. Inwardly, he thinks that he would cherish their friendship more than love as it has been his support and comfort system all through his life since he attained his sanity; and that love was just a layer above it and their friendship should remain even if their love had died eventually.
He hopes it doesn't though, but he believes they should stay friends forever.
When he says to Chenle that the flowers meant friendship, Chenle didn't question further which gave a teeny tiny disappointment to Jisung that he wasn't able to express his 'love philosophy' to Chenle and be the wise one for the first time.
However, he doesn't push further.
They talk for a little while about school and themselves keeping updated of each other's families and health.
After some time, Jisung randomly mutters, "I still can't believe Sungchan knows about us before me. I'm so embarrassed."
Chenle laughs, "Well, imagine that dude dropping subtle hints and you can't find them out either."
"I'm just stupid."
"You are. But only I am allowed to say that." Chenle shrugs.
Jisung playfully slaps his cheek sulking and Chenle lets out a laugh and connects their foreheads before kissing him right then and there under the bridge, and Jisung swore that Chenle's lips feel softer than the roses he just gave him and closes his eyes while relishing the feeling.
When Jisung was eight years old, Chenle gave him a set of star stickers to decorate his bedroom and now, he has his Music Star Chenle for himself. Jisung doesn't care if what he was experiencing is a meteor or a real shooting wishing star, but all he knows is that he doesn't need those answers if he is happy.
Both of them felt like levitating off the ground into the wide space of the universe with themselves going against the law of gravity , reaching the upper infinity and getting hung up on the stars.
