Talking to his friends was the time he enjoyed the most, he thinks. He looks the happiest when he spends his time with friends and that's what his mother thinks of him too.

Many times, his mother catches him watching himself in the mirror whenever he finds himself attractive causing her to tease him playfully.

Once, he drank water and coincidentally looked at his juicy lips with the dampness of the water and just like that, he kept looking at himself.

His mother caught sight of him and immediately kissed his cheek while laughing causing him to cover his face in embarrassment.

But he was happy.

Happy because of his parents and grandmother.

Happy because of Jaemin and his friends.

Once in a while he helps his mother in baking cakes which involves him tasting the dish instead, most of the time.

Once in a while he goes to their parents' room in the night to sleep between them.

Once in a while, he walks his grandmother to the church and pick her up later.

Once in a while he massages his father's shoulders when he feels too tired.

Once in a while he helps Jaemin in completing his schedule staying up late at night.

Once in a while their whole family talks about each others' days.

He does things every once in a while but he was happy all the while.

When Jisung says to Chenle about his talk with his dad and how happy he was about the things going back to normal like how their childhood used to be, Chenle blankly said that things would not really go back to normal.

Hearing this, Jisung's heart almost broke.

But he waited for Chenle to give the rightful explanation for what he meant.

That's when Chenle says, "The things you have experienced cannot be taken by anyone, not even nature. You have the sole authority over the things that made you suffer or the ones that made you happy. They are the things that determine your future."

Jisung, still curious, lets him continue.

"You aren't supposed to be back after a dreadful experience if anything you should be a better version of yourself from what you have been in the past. Just think about it. If you come back to where you have started, won't you prone yourself to suffer again if some shit happens? Everything that happens in our life is a form of lesson."

Jisung thinks about it.

He looks at Chenle's face and looked at how serious he was when he was talking like a professional therapist or philosopher who has gone through the worst shit in life ever and is ready to give lessons for everyone that passes by.

However, he doesn't say that.

He converts his million feelings towards his best friend in the two words of "Thank you."
