Unveiled Curtain Part 2

"Mommy?"

I walk absent-mindedly towards the center stage.

I wanna run towards her. I wanna hug her. I wanna know why she is there. Why she's alive.

Naramdaman kong hinawakan ni River ang braso ko. Tinignan ko siya with tears in my eyes.

"You knew?" I asked him. Gusto kong magalit sa kanya. How long did he know.

"Sometimes,things aren't what they seem to be. Remember?"

Sagot niya sakin. There were tenderness in his eyes.

"I wanna talk to her, River." I plea.

"In time,Fierra.  This is not the right place. Now stay close to me." Hinila niya ako palapit sa kanya.

Dumaan si Isaac sa tabi ko. Bago siya tuluyang lumakad papunta sa harap ay hinarap niya ako.

"You wanna participate? You can use my gang's name. Abyss' Cardinals."

Hindi ko maintindihan ang sarili ko pero pakiramdam ko kailangan kong humingi ng permiso kay River. I looked up at him.

"You want to?" Nakakainis pero deep inside I feel good hearing the tenderness in his voice.

"Yes."

"Okay then. But there are rules here. Killing is not permitted. You can use any weapons except gun. And of course,wag mo ipahiya ang gang ko." Mahabang sabi ni Isaac. Hindi ko nagustuhan ang huling sinabi niya pero hinayaan ko nalang.

"Okay." Sang-ayon ko.

Lumakad na siya papunta sa center stage. Right across is where the 7aces sits. Kita sila mula sa kinatatayuan ko.

I look up at the woman sitting at the left side. She seems different. There is fierce in there. Gone was the smiling face of Bianca Akihara. There was no trace of the woman I called mom that was supposed to be dead.

"Welcome ladies and gentlemen. Tonight we are celebrating the annual gathering of every single gang existing in Asia. To the veterans,welcome back. To the new gangs,welcome..."

Hindi ko na narinig pa ang ibang sinabi ni Isaac. My attention was focused somewhere else. Or rather on someone. Someone I never thought would be here.

Tumayo si Bianca Akihara nang banggitin ni Isaac ang pangalang ni hindi ko kilala. Its as if she really owns it.

"...Mariel Newell. The newest member of the 7 Aces. Welcome."

Mariel Newell? Napaka-daming tanong sa isip ko. Kailangan masagot ang mga ito kung hindi ay pakiramdam ko mababaliw na ako.

"And now,let's start with our very own version of gang fight. Starting with my newest member against anyone who would like to fight  her. Yes ladies and gentlemen "her". Let's all welcome Blaze. The newest member of Abyss' Cardinals."

Nang tawagin ni Isaac ang pangalan ko ay awtomatikong napatingin ako sa mommy ko. Her face shows no recognition.

I walk slowly, I can feel eyes staring. I tried to focused my eyes on the center stage.

Nang marating ko ang entablado ay muling nagsalita si Isaac.

"Now,who wants to fight her? Anyone who can beat her and make her surrender will have my gang's title as the no. 1 gang in Asia and rank 6 across the globe."

Ikinagulat ko ang sinabi ni Isaac. Baliw din ang isang ito. Ni hindi nga niya alam ang kapasidad ko pero pinagkatiwala niya sakin ang pangalan ng gang niya.

Nakarinig ako ng pagsinghap at karamihan ay napasipol. Hmmm. Interesting. Mukhang wala si character ng Isaac na 'to ang basta na lang ipusta ang karangalan ng gang nito.

"Guys,don't be so excited. First three bidder will get the chance to fight with her."

Bidder? Kaya ba kakaiba ang gang fight na ito dahil sa bid. So,hindi lang pala ito simpleng pagtitipon. Pinagkakakitaan din.

May mga taong pumusta. Hanggang sa natapos ang bidding. Ayon kay Isaac, rank 3,9 at 25 ang mga gang na nanalo. So sila ang mga makakalaban ko.

Hmm. Interesting.

"So here are the rules, five members in each gang can participate and are allowed to fight with Fierra. No guns, blades and other weapons are allowed. Strictly no killing. Kailangang mapatumba ni Fierra ang lahat ng labinlimang tao bago siya ideklarang panalo.

"If Fierra wins,half of your bids will be mine and half will be given to the organization lead by the 7 aces,whichever gang defeat Fierra will get double of their bidding plus Abyss' Cardinals rank." Mahabang paliwanag niya.

"Masyado ka yatang kampante Bodes ,siya lang ang isasabak mo? Hindi kaya pagsisihan mo yan?" Tanong ng leader ng rank. 3. Puro pilipino ang miyembro ng gang na ito.

Ngumiti lang si Isaac. Lumapit siya sa akin.

"I know you can do it. River told me about you. Hindi ko pwedeng maliitin ang kalibre ng isang Akihara  hindi ba?"

I smirk at him.

"Matapos kong talunin ang mga yan at madagdagan ang kayamanan mo ay may pabor akong hihilingin sayo and you can't say no."

"I think I know." At tumingin siya sa direksyon ni Mariel Newell.

Gumaan ang loob ko sa taong ito. I smile at him.

Bumaba na siya ng stage at lumakad papunta sa direksyon ni River.

Kinindatan ko silang dalawa at inihanda ang sarili ko.

"And now,rank 9 will be the first to fight with the Abyss' new member."

And adrenaline rush took over. I positioned myself when the first challenger  approach the stage.
