A spike threw by the cursed spirit fizzled past you, which you barely dodged it. The noise of the wall crumbling was heard right after you avoided the attack. Risking your life to exorcise cursed spirits is your job, the fact that your cursed energy is very limited doesn't help at all. Not that you mind as long as you can prevent tragedies.

I hate exams! It shrilled in a distorted voice as it attacks. This cursed spirit must be a manifestation of the hatred for exams.

I get your feelings, you sobbed internally at the thought of sitting in front of a desk and breaking your hands just to finish the papers in time, I will end your suffering now, poor thing.

Just before you could slash your knife at it, the wall next to you exploded, causing you to slam into the opposite wall. If you didn't use your cursed energy to protect yourself in time, you would probably end up like the rubbles next to you. Nausea starting to hit you and the choker on your neck was starting to burn your skin, this happens whenever you used your energy slightly above the limit.

The other cursed spirit that joined the fight was much stronger and faster than the one you were fighting, but you have faced worse. The dizziness suddenly hit you, making you trip over nothing, which gave an opportunity for the other spirit to launch an attack at you. Knowing that you wouldn't have enough time to duck in time, you brace yourself for impact.

The only thought that was in your head is 'fuxk exams'.

Yet the impact never came. The cursed spirit was sliced in half, not even having a chance to screech in terror. Without wasting another second, you sliced the remaining spirit to exorcise it.

"(name)-senpai? I didn't expect to see you here-" you held up a hand to stop him from speaking before stumbling to a corner to throw up.

It feels absolutely awful, you looked like a waterfall, and the burning choker around your neck didn't help at all. You retched like a cat trying to throw up hairballs even after your stomach's contents are emptied out. Instead of looking away in disgust, the male came over to rub circles on your back.

"Sorry, Okkotsu-kun," you heaved and panted, "thanks for the help, it's good to see you here."

You lifted your head to take a good look at Okkotsu. He is one of the second-year students from jujutsu high. Compared with the other students, he goes out of Tokyo for missions quite frequently, sometimes working with you or meeting out of mere coincidence. You watched him grow from a timid little boy to a confident young man within a year, and that is incredible. You refused to believe that Gojo is the one who taught him.

Has he grown taller again? you thought as you tilted your head up to meet his eyes.

"Don't mention it, and it's good to see you here, too," Okkotsu smiled at you politely before pausing to say, "ah, senpai, your shoulder is bleeding."

You didn't even the blood that ripped your sleeve and painted your shirt in red. The dull pain suddenly took over your sensation, but you didn't want to show it in front of your Kouhai. Because you just need to act cool, to impress or be a good influence on your Kouhai. So you moved away from him and wiped off some blood with your other hand.

"It's just a scratch, don't worry," blood trailed down from your nose as you said that, "I'm fine, really," then you gave the brightest smile you offer as your stomach start to grumble.

He stood there as you spoke, utterly speechless.

I mean, what can he say. except you're welcome-

He couldn't help but sigh, "please let me help you, " he stepped closer to you.
