The moment Itadori had heard that you only caught a cold, he hopped up in joy like a rabbit full of energy. Before he learnt that you were alright, he had been jogging around the town in circles in hopes to ease his anxieties even though it didn't work much, now he only wanted to sprint out and run around in circles to release his energy.
Though he contained himself, he hurriedly went to the kitchen and searched up for the perfect recipe. You must've been hungry, and sick people need to eat more. So he wasted no time shopping for the right ingredients and preparing them. He hummed a tune as he was cooking them, he couldn't help but feel excited to see you enjoying what he cooked. At the same time, he was a bit nervous. He didn't know if you would like it or not, or you might even be allergic. But the thoughts were soon gone as he focused on the cooking, he tried his best to make it as appetizing as possible. In no time, a delicious scent filled the room. Birds would start stopping by to check on it if it was a Disney movie. Even though the food he made was just rice porridge, he mixed it with enough veggies and meat to make it smell delightful.
Itadori hopped out of his apartment with excitement and started skipping towards the place you were staying at. A lot had happened, and you were the only recent good news that he had at this moment. It felt like a huge rock was lifted off of his shoulders, every step he took felt like he was getting lighter and lighter and will eventually be able to fly. He had already forgotten all the worries he had, looking forward to seeing you enjoying the meal he prepared for you.
When he finally arrived at the door leading to the room you were staying at, he took a deep breath and calmed his eagerness before holding up his hand to knock. Then he froze when he heard your voice.
"...Ngh, Nanamin-san, it hurts," he could hear your soft voice from behind the door.
"Relax your body," Nanami's gruff voice then rang. Itadori's face heated up visibly as he pressed his ear onto the door and listened on.
"Please be more gentle- ah!" He jolted up upon hearing your gasps, he could feel steam coming out from his head already.
He could hear a sigh before Nanami spoke again in a more comforting tone, "you'll get used to it."
"W-wait! I can't take it-" he then heard you drawing in a breath, then you whimpered, "I don't want to do it anymore-"
Upon hearing it, Itadori burst the door open with his flared red face, "don't do weird things to (name)-senpai!" He froze when he saw you laying on the bed while one of your legs were lifted by Nanami. Then he suddenly realized, Nanami was just helping you stretch.
"Itadori-kun?" You blinked when you saw him standing in front of your sorry with a bright red face, "what are you doing here?"
"I...I..." He babbled, he suddenly forgot why he was here and who he is.
"Itadori-kun is most likely here to visit you," Nanami finally let go of you as he spoke to Itadori, so you let out a breath of relief.
"That really hurts," you complained a little as you rubbed your thighs.
"You've been sitting here without moving for days, so you need to stretch your limbs to stay in shape," he crossed his arms and said in a matter of fact tone.
"Um," Itadori spoke again, reminding you both of his presence, "I...made food for (name)-senpai."
"(Name) can't eat any fried or oily food," Nanami then told him, glancing at the box he was holding.
"Don't worry," Itadori grinned and held it up for him to look at, "it's just congee."
He finally looked more relieved, so he checked his watch before looking at you again, "I still have work to do, I'll be going."
