Fuzzy memories; Aiden was right about Adam and tries to kill him with a pair of shoes and an old memory.
Mira woke up by falling off the couch of the study room.
Aiden was asleep on his chair, his face on the desk. They both had fallen asleep whilst working on the assignment last night. His face was squished, his mouth gaping open, which caused him to drool onto the page under his face.
Mira giggled as she pulled out her phone and took a picture and made it her wallpaper. Mira bit back a laugh and placed the phone on the desk.
She was about to wake him but Avery opened the door, banging a pot with a spoon. She tossed it aside and Aiden shot up, the page attached to his face as he gazed around wildly. "Here, doofus," Avery called out to get his attention. He swirled to face Avery as a blinding light flashed causing Mira to duck behind the desk. Avery waited as the Polaroid picture was printed and flapped it so the image emerged faster.
Aiden slowly came to his senses as Avery shook her head mockingly. "Oh dear, Mira hid in the nick of time but Phoenix..." She sang his name.
Avery smirked, holding up the picture to see. "I'm sure the people at school would love this pic. How much do you think all your fangirls are willing to pay for this? Tell Adam I'll give him a discount?"
Aiden charged for Avery, who darted away. Mira could hear her laughter, echoing through the house as Aiden chased after her with a range of colourful phrases. Mira got up and sighed.
It looks like Avery was back to her old tricks. When Mira and Aiden were younger Avery would often barge in and take snapshots of them.
Once, when they were in tenth grade, Avery spread the pictures throughout their school causing Aiden and her to be a topic of gossip for about two weeks until the new drama emerged. Avery had stolen something from Adam or something about Evelyn and Avery breaking up or someone because of Adam. Mira couldn't quite remember what happened. She's pretty sure Evelyn and Avery used to date and they used to hang out with Adam.
Mira felt a chill take over her body. She had completely forgotten about that incident.
Could that have been why Adam and Avery were arguing back then?
She glanced over to the couch where she fell asleep. The clothes Avery had given her last night were there. Mira sighed. She should probably return it to prevent any further drama. She picked it up and the pants fell onto the floor. She bent over to get it but noticed something dangling from her hand. It had been between the shirt and pants.
