The pervert strikes again, alas mother nature.
Anime openings in bed; from Dante and Aristotle to Jurassic World. Mira knows Phoenix watched Fast and Furious with her mom.
This is possibly the longest chapter title because why not.
After finishing the assignment with Aiden, Mira had gone upstairs to take a nap with Avery.
They lay on her bed, side by side as Mira played with Avery's fingers. She held them up to the ceiling. She couldn't help but compare their skin tones; the dark and the light.
A clash of worlds and yet, they still shared the same love as everyone else; a perfect yin and yang.
In the background, Avery had her phone streaming music.
It was a random assortment from classical to retro to pop and rock.
Mira recognized a few anime openings, to which she hummed along.
The Yuri on ice soundtrack began to play and she couldn't help but sing the words, "We were born to make history."
She turned to face Avery whose eyes were closed as she slept. Under her eyelids, her eyes drifted around as if she was reading something in her dreams. Just like Aiden's would, Avery's lips were slightly parted as she slept.
Mira took in her features; from the light freckles on her high cheekbones, to the way she twitched her nose at random times in her sleep. Right now, there was a smear of red paint on her face, which Mira noticed was also on her neck, clothes and arms. She glanced up at Avery's calloused hands.
Her long slender fingers were made to dance across a canvas bringing her art to life.
Mira dropped their hands and then snuggled into Avery's side. Avery wrapped her arm under Mira, to pull her closer as she placed a leg over Avery.
Avery looked like a marble carving that belonged in a museum and for the first time since she arrived, Mira noticed how much older she seemed.
"I can sense your mind running, Mira. What are you thinking about?" Avery let out a big yawn as she stretched her arm, her eyes still closed.
