Chaotic Spirit

"Some say chaos is a thing that needs to be stopped. Some say it's an essential piece to spice up every day life. What's more chaotic than what we know is what we don't know. Over the years, various people have committed various acts from pranks to crimes on the masses with no known motives except for marks that say eerie messages such as 'Incite Chaos' and 'We Are Corpse'. Is there a cult that lives amongst the masses? Could there be a supernatural being set on playing with the human mind? Could it be?

And that, my dear viewers, is what we're set on finding out, tonight!" Roman declared to his camera while rolling in his chair.

"Oh yeah, while you're set on ghost hunting, some of us have actual jobs to do without lying about wanting overtime," Virgil, the museum night guard with messy hair groaned.

"Come on, Brendon Furie, don't you want to have a little bit of fun to celebrate the new addition to our Urban Legends exhibit?"

"If it didn't cost me my job. Besides, if this Corpse thing really is a spirit, how can you be so sure such a small addition would attract them to us?"

"You never know with the supernatural," Roman explained while rolling in chair and interacting with his streaming audience.

While Virgil was looking through the cameras and occasionally picking at his face mask, he found himself wondering why his boss agreed to let Roman join him on the night guard shift when Virgil was more productive in solitude. It wasn't long before Virgil found himself with Roman's phone in his face.

"So, Purple Police, do you have anything to contribute?"

"Besides the assurance that the museum is safe for another night?"

"Oh, come on! Just humor us a little!"

Virgil groaned while gripping at the desk and immediately snatched Roman's phone.

"You want me to contribute? Fine! Not much is known about this chaotic entity known as Corpse. There have been debates about whether or not this entity was human from the start. What it can and can't do has been up for debate for so long, but one thing is for sure: those who make a move under his name know what to do once they hear the Call of Bingus!"

Many comments in the chat alternated between being impressed and calling Virgil's contribution cliche, but when Roman grabbed his phone again, all he had to say was "Wow, I'm impressed".

"Yea, well, I just took bits of what I remembered from the lecture earlier today and bits of what I remembered from a dream. No big deal."

Suddenly, a blaring alarm sounded that made Roman jump and a concerned Virgil check all the cameras before turning off the alarm. Virgil looked at the cameras before turning towards Roman who was trying to make the situation more dramatic.

"If I may rain on your parade, the alarm was caused by a cat! But, if it'll make you feel better, I'll go check it out," Virgil stated before leaving the desk.

Roman set his phone down as he looked over the cameras. To entertain himself and his audience, he was singing some Disney and Broadway songs and even did some commentary on Virgil's interaction with what looked like a Sphynx cat.

"Huh, when I think of stray cats, I never really think of the hairless ones that Patton might actually handle," he muttered to himself.

Eventually, Virgil was seen making his way back into the museum and back to the desk.

"So, how did the confrontation go?" Roman asked.

"Oh, it was fine. They were stunned by the alarm as well, but we had an understanding," Virgil stated.
