Warnings: swearing, drugs, implied r*pe plans
Emile allowed Remy to drag him to a music festival, which was made easier by the fact that he didn't have any appointments the following day. Emile had grown tired of feeling like he's too innocent to handle what the real world could bring him in contrast to what Remy considered to be fun. Plus, when Remy joked that he dated Emile so he'd always have a designated driver, it really got the cartoon addict's goat, and not Chompy that time. He wanted to prove that he could be just as fun as Remy, so when Remy mentioned this music festival, Emile knew that would be his chance to have some more fun in a night than he ever allegedly did in his teen years.
Remy waited outside of Emile's place as evening struck and found a man walk out with a headband, shades, light-blue ripped jeans, birkenstocks, and a vest cut up so that there were no sleeves and the majority of his torso was exposed like Aladdin. The only giveaway that the man Remy was gawking at was his boyfriend was the headband having "Steven Universe" characters on it. Ironically, it was clear that Emile had put a lot of work into dressing down for the evening."I didn't know I was dating a genetically modified Ditto," Remy joked while referencing when they went to see "Detective Pikachu".
Emile chuckled and kissed Remy before they went to his car. Of course, he was in the driver's seat and Remy was riding shotgun pulling up directions to the music festival.
"You mind if I put on some tunes on the way there? It might feel like leaving one world and entering another," Emile stated once he started the car.
"Go ahead. Then I won't just rely on the headband to remind me I'm not riding with a stranger," Remy half-joked.
Emile put on his Spotify playlist consisting of soundtracks from various animated shows and movies. By the time they made it to the music festival, they erupted in laughs and loving words towards each other. They got out of the car and Emile handed his keys to Remy. He took the keys and put them in his jacket pocket.
"Planning on having too much fun tonight?" Remy asked.
"Out of the two of us, you're the only one who has pockets with zippers," Emile answered.
The pair made their way to the cluster of crowds and Emile basically just followed Remy's lead. Emile was feeling great while exploring the combination of various types of music, the fresh air, even just the various people he walked past. There was a diverse array of people having fun in their own ways that it made Emile want to people-watch and make guesses on what their lives might've been like away from the music festival.
Even though Remy liked to joke and go a little crazy every now and then, he was still somewhat concerned about what would happen to Emile in a place Remy considered his own territory. He held Emile's hand as they were navigating through the crowds until Remy kept up the the pace and found some people he knew. As they high fived and clanked their Starbucks cups together, Emile giggled at the interaction.
"Chandler, Quil, meet by BF, Emile," Remy introduced before whispering the proper pronouns to Emile.
"So much music and fun here you'd think we were at the Plaza de la Cruz," Emile joked.
Chandler and Quil chuckled and Remy rubbed Emile's back. For a while, they were sitting on the grass joking around and talking. Emile listened to the music and looked around at his environment. He felt a rumbling in his stomach and remembered that the music festival had some vendors that were quite a walk away.
"Hey, guys, mind if I go to grab a bite?" he innocently asked.
Remy gave Emile a peck on the lips.
"Go ahead, babes. Just shoot me a call or a text in case things go awry," Remy claimed with a cool and collected tone.
