Virgil knocked on Roman's door with a lot of thoughts in his mind and one of them was that Roman was busy looking in the mirror. When Roman opened the door, Virgil peeked in and felt his guess was justified, but then he squinted and looked at the post-it notes of compliments that he recognized were in Patton's handwriting.
"Something you needed, Asking Al-anx-andria?" Roman asked.
After silently appreciating Roman's evident research and effort, Virgil glanced at the thespian.
"Do you still have that guitar that shows images of what the musician is thinking of while playing?" Virgil concisely asked.
Roman was surprised by Virgil's question. He had used said guitar in rooms he thought were empty and during times he thought no one would notice, so he didn't think anyone else knew he had such a guitar. Roman snapped his fingers and an acoustic guitar with rainbow glitter appeared in his hands. He handed it to Virgil after looking at him well enough to realize how sincere he was.
"Thanks a bunch, Princey."
"Sure, no problem. Just one question: why do you need this guitar anyway?"
"Well, my walls are thin and Logan doesn't think I know. After what has been going on recently, I'm going to use that to my advantage."
Virgil walked to his room and sat cross-legged on his bed. He warmed up his fingers and heard the sound of someone slamming onto their bedsheets on the other side of the wall. Virgil knew what that meant and started to play the guitar. As he cleared his throat, he saw a cloud leave the guitar and form images above him.
"Chill out, whatcha yelling for? Lay back, it's all been done before. And if you could only let it be, you will see. I like you the way you are when we're driving in your car and you're talking to me one on one, but you've become somebody else 'round everyone else, you're watching your back like you can't relax. You're trying to be cool, you look like a fool to me."
During the course of the first verse, the cloud showed moving images of Logan and Virgil spending time with each other and talking to each other casually while watching TV or playing chess. Unfortunately, those flashbacks led to the same conclusion: whenever Roman came around and Virgil started to socialize with him, Logan eventually spoke with a bolder tone, talked about taking hikes and bike rides into the unknowns of the Imagination to the point where he almost thought Deceit shapeshifted into Roman and Roman turned into Logan.
"Tell me, Why do you have to go and make things so complicated? I see the way you're acting like you're somebody else gets me frustrated; Life's like this you and you fall, and you crawl, and you break and you take, what you get, and you turn it into honesty and promise me I'm never gonna find you fake it
No, no, no."
During the beginning of the chorus, Logan could hear Virgil singing and strumming intensely and was curious as he was listening to the song. He made his way to Virgil's room and peeked in the doorway to see Virgil playing and singing with his eyes closed as the clouds played scenes of Logan trying to act like Roman, but failing horribly. Logan cringed at the portrayed attempts, but decided to stick around to hear Virgil and see what's on his mind.
"You come, over unannounced dressed up, like you're something else. Where you aren't where it's at, you see. You're making me laugh out, when you strike your pose. Take off, all your preppy clothes. You know, you're not fooling anyone when you become somebody else 'round everyone else, you're watching your back like you can't relax. You're trying to be cool, you look like a fool to me."
Logan noticed that there were moving images that showed himself entering the common room while Virgil and Roman were talking about Jon Solo and Brothers Grimm. Virgil was the first to glance his way and lightly shoved Roman which caused him to look in the same direction. They both stared as Logan was wearing Roman's white denim shorts and sparkly red crop top. Virgil didn't say anything, but Roman chuckled and took a picture as Logan feigned confidence.
The images, then, showed Virgil standing up as everything else was frozen and him monologuing some of the lyrics with what looked like the outfit Logan was wearing slowly turning back to his usual attire, something Logan guessed was an illustrated thought of Virgil's since he recalled no such thing happening.
"Tell me, Why do you have to go and make things so complicated? No, no, no."
Logan saw more of his failures at trying to be more like Roman and Virgil just shaking his head in the background. As much as he was fascinated by the images and Virgil's talent that he didn't show to everyone else very often if at all, he wanted to go up to Virgil and discuss the whole ordeal with him. He started walking to Virgil, but he guessed his boyfriend's senses were more heightened than he initially thought due to what happened next.

As those lyrics were erupted, out the corner of his eye, he saw an image of Virgil looking at him and moving his mouth to Virgil's actual singing as if the image was talking to him. Logan was bewildered, but complied to the directions given by relaxing and lying down on the bed. He saw more images of Logan failing at trying to be more like Roman.

No, no, no."
During the closing lyrics, the images showed Logan walking away as Roman and Virgil were about to socialize, but then Virgil looked back at Logan, waved to Roman, and rushed to the nerd to hug him. After the emo was done strumming, the cloud disappeared and he set the guitar down carefully by his feet before looking Logan's way.
"It was jealousy, wasn't it?" Virgil asked while already knowing the answer.
Logan sighed and nodded before looking away.
"Hon, if I wanted to spend time with Roman in a way that's more than just platonic, I wouldn't have worked up the courage to ask you out in the first place," Virgil explained while stroking Logan's hair lightly in a way so that Logan would see that it was him doing so.
"Is it bad that I'm jealous over stupid stuff?" Logan asked.
"Well, you might want to avoid pretending to be a prep every time I try to be social, but being jealous is pretty normal. Just know that I won't leave you, okay?" Virgil answered as he lied down next to his nerd.
Logan turned around while smiling and snuggled with his purpman.
